I like the idea of my full name being in the tail / stroke of the letter G.
The G itself looks a little busy though... could you perhaps try this with a different type / font?
Also - please see my general comments regarding "metallic plate" look. I think you're close here anyway, but if you have any additional ideas - I'd love to see them.
