Don't think I would want the tagline in the logo - simplification, too small to read.

Looking forward to seeing other ideas!

Just a reminder to all designers to reference the document I uploaded. It has additional details as well as example logos that I like to give you some direction. Thanks!

I am looking for something simple - the name "Leadership Cures" and with a simple "iconic" logo worked in that is relevant. In the examples I provided in the brief I attached, you will see the mosquito, the gloves for the cleaning service, tooth for the dentist - something simple that could almost stand on it's own as my twitter and facebook avatar.

The concept for the site is that Leadership can "cure" problems and solve challenges by going over, around or under obstacles. We will be discussing ways that people can lead through challenges and that "leadership" can cure all. I think a medical thing would be interesting, but I don't want it to "cutesy".

I want all you experts to come up with some creative ideas, but some that I thought of:
Maybe a stethoscope could be curved into it somehow as part of the lettering?
Could a medical "+" symbol be incorporated somehow?

I also would like to see it not necessarily all UPPERCASE as many have done. Since it's a website, uppercase doesn't match. I think Leadership Cures or leadership cures is more relevant.

Some logos I really like to give you ideas:
Miskeeto: http://cl.ly/1SUW
Eagle Clean: http://cl.ly/1SAn
Dentist: http://cl.ly/1SZl
Human: http://cl.ly/1SBi
Attack Concerts: http://cl.ly/1SC0

I think I want to have something like the "T" in miskeeto, the gloves in Eagle Clean, the tooth in Dentist, or the Mic Stand in Attack Concerts that can stand on it's own and be used as a stand along logo in the square size optimized for twitter, facebook as avatar. Leadership Cures is too long and rectangular for the words to be used in a square avatar. I do want the words to be used for the main logo, but then to be able to just use the graphic as a standalone also as optimized avatar. Hope that makes sense.

Getting some great ideas going! Like the stethoscope ideas, the pill ideas and the + symbol ideas. I don't like the rounded fonts - they are too comic sans for me. The stethoscope and medical "+" symbol were my ideas, so anyone else should be welcome to putting other alternatives together using those.

I am open to other ideas also - I am not 100% married to the stehoscope, pill or + symbol, so keep ideas coming. I will want something like #34 that is square and the entire logo would work for avatar **or** be able to crop the art/symbol off and use that piece as an avatar - i.e. like the “LC” in #35, the “pill” in #25 or #32, the “stethoscope” u in #28 (assuming the “rope” was more dangly instead of straight across per earlier feedback) or the “+” in #33. All these have elements that could be cropped off and used as avatar also (these are just examples above).

I also wanted to point out that although many of my example logos were grey or black/white (and so were many that I recently ranked) - I am also open to color as long as it's simple and clean.

Another idea would be to leverage the r in "cures" as the Rx medical symbol - i.e. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_prescription

Would be interesting in seeing:

leadership
cures (with the Rx) serving as the r in cures

Likar - man, we are close! Looking great!

#146 - love the stethoscope on this, but I think the tie needs to be bigger like in #143. Also, make sure the tie is perfectly centered - seemed to be slightly off vertically (up/down).

Also, let's make font bigger to be on same scale as icon.
