I like this cup a lot - good personality in the facial expression! I'm now leaning towards a little "tighter" design where the text doesn't take up too much space. I like the beans too, especially in the Text, like 21. Not sure about the blue in the mug on 21.
No problem. #37 is the hybrid you requested, but it's hard to see the coffee beans in small letters.
I posted 8 new design variations for you. I tried to make the text smaller and a tighter total logo design. I also changed the facial expression to make it more goofy on #34, #35, and #36. And I played with the colors a little too. Please let me know what you think, and how I can design the logo more to suit your specific needs.
34-36 the tongue was a little too long. It looked like he was panting. I moved them out just to keep them straight in my head. You're right on the text not showing up as beans when it's smaller. Definitely more fun when you can see the beans.
I redesigned the cup and the facial expression in #50 and #51 to a design and color combination that I think looks much better. I hope you feel the same.
