In reference to entry #8 and #9 , we'd like to see another take at this with some modifications. The 3-D aspect of the logo i interesting. But the JOE part is way too big compared to the Shopping.com. We need the "Joe Shopping" part to be roughly the same treatment in terms of sizes.

Also, the Joe character himself is a good start but he looks a bit like a sleazy used car salesman. Try softening up his features and making him more of a regulary friendly guy. Softer eyes, much smaller smile, etc.

Okay, #15 is a bit more in line with what we were hoping. Still would like to see some more tinkering though:

1) The mascot; His body is fine, it's just his face. He still looks a bit too clean cut, somewhat used car salesman like. (Not as sleazy as before, though). Try a completely different face. Soften it up, maybe a little bit more cartoony.

2) We'd like to see some different treatment to the logo. The 3-D is interesting, but we need the JOE part of the name to be a lot smaller so it's more equal in size to the SHOPPING part. The .com can be smaller and go either below or after the SHOPPING part. But try following the 3-D style with the 2 words much closer in size to each other.

3) We'd also like to see a few different fonts, possibly some more Web 2.0-type ones.

Thanks!

Hi! In reference to #50 , he's the best so far in terms of your Joe character. We'd like to see a few more changes, though:

1) Looks like he's holding a bag of groceries. Our site deals mostly with online shopping, so it wouldn't be groceries he's holding. Instead it'd be boxes of products. Things like a TV, video games, cell phones, clothes, etc. Maybe either have him holding a few boxes with these items labeled on the side, or he's opening a box and taking one out, or he's just holding a product.

2) The font itself we'd like to see a few different takes. Don't feel tied to the 3-D effect. Try it without a thick border. And try a few different color variations too.

Thanks!

Okay, some more overall comments. We definitely like the direction things have been heading in, but still would like to see if a few more changes.

MASCOT
1) Try a few different approaches with his face. Try a few different eyes and noses. He's "almost" there, but hard to explain why he's not. So a few tweaks to the eyes and nose could help.
2) For the packages he's holding, can you change it up a bit so there's more products, and some smaller boxes? Lose the one with the TV. And we also don't want them all to be electronics, so mix in some smaller generic ones that could be shoeboxes, perfume, etc.

FONT
1) For the font on entry #58 , try making a thinner dark border around the letters. We like the semi-embossed look, but it's a bit too thick.
2) Also, try using lowercase for the font, so that it's spelled JoeShopping.com, rather than ALL CAPS.
3) We're not sold on any of the color schemes. We definitely don't like the green and red. The orange/green combo from #58 is probably our favorite, but we'd like to see some other combos. You also can try using just one solid color for the font, rather than two colors.
4) We do like the gradient style of coloring on ones like #57. (Not the colors, but the gradient style)
5) Would love to see a few completely different fonts, using a gradient, lowercase style and possibly slight embossing. The logo itself needs to be strong enough to stand on its own without the mascot.

Finally, we like the idea of the mascot in the circle, but we'd like him to be positioned to the left of the font itself, rather than above it. We have more horizontal room, than vertical room.
Thanks!

Thanks so much for all the changes. Just a few more minor ones and I think we're there:

MASCOT
Based on #71 :
1) Please remove the money (dollar bills) sticking out of his pocket.
2) Replace the video games box with something more generic like books, DVDs or even some jewelry
3) On the perfume box on top, please remove the orange logo on the side. It looks too redundant next to the perfume bottle with the same orange circle.
4) Is the bottom box in the pile supposed to be a shoe box? If so, can you make it look a little more like a shoe box? Maybe add a silho of shoes or something.

FONT
We like the lowercase style best, like the font in #72. Though it seems a little small and squished. But we really like how the .com part fits underneath the type and between the P and G in SHOPPING. Just loosen that one up a little.

But we would like to see a bunch of other color schemes based on this font.

Thanks!
