A bit darker or more gray blue.....do you recognize the font on my blog header? I don't know what it is, but like that.... font in these is more simple than I want. Cool brush/j design...but when I sign, my j is straight, so I don't know if it works for consistent branding. Again, initials to go along with my name spelled out might be interesting.
I'm liking the font. Maybe try a grayer/ paler blue....slate or something that doesn't lean as turquoise... I think I want something more structured, less curvy than the brush thing.....play with the jd thing some in addition to the julie davis part. Hoping this makes sense. thx.
in #10 and #11 i combined freehand with some structure. let me know what you think.
btw, you need to start ranking designs soon if you want your contest to get noticed. Please take a look at the hints I left at the bottom of the front page of your contest.
extended the "j" and changed the color in #14. not sure if you wanted 2 colors when you said blue/gray or one bluish/grayish color. let me know if there is anything else i can do.
Thanks for the ranking tips....was trying to get a few more to choose from before I ranked, but that apparently was the opposite of what I should do. Appreciate it. I like the gray/brown of the #8 lettering. Maybe try a smaller lower case d--I'd rather keep it consistent with how I sign my work.....I ranked #11 second bec. I didn't care as much for the font of the d....A more structured font, simple.....I really like the Chanel logo, for example. I like the box outlining it.
The blue--not there yet, but I'll try to find the numbers of a blue I like.
i used that color in #16. I actually need to step away from my computer for the rest of the evening but I can make any changes you want first thing in the morning.
#42 is using the color you requested. I see the copycats are out in full force! others are trying to take the same concept and slightly modify it (i.e. just use a different font). If you want to see any changes please let me know.
Thanks--I really like this. I'll look forward to seeing the next, too. See my update on my brief. I tried to clarify and suggest something I haven't seen any of yet. Love to get your ideas on it.
Really, really like it. I see a "k" because of the brush going in the direction it is...don't know if there might be another place to put it so it doesn't read so much like that?
Ok, feedback from family and friends is leading me away from the paintbrush--something like #46 without the brush.... and is there a font that you can use that is more vertical? I like this, but others know my signature and they think consistency there is important, which is probably true. Even a font that looks a bit like paint? Maybe show me 46 without the brush (I'll check back through but I don't think I've seen one like that), and a couple with different fonts in the box....Thank you so much.
I like all the others more than the latest batch....it's the font--too heavy, fat, not elegant enough? SO hard to find the right words. Appreciate the effort. Can I see 46 and 124 without the brush? And variations that extend the letters beyond the box, like in 182? Also, any fonts more similar to those that are more upright? Love to see all of the above. Thank you....
I guess I am kind of confused because the entry you currently have ranked in first is fatter than all the ones i submitted and its not elegant by any stretch either. the recent batch i tried to make them look as if they were painted with a brush and i tried to look at your signature to make it as close as I could. take a look at #245, #246 and #247. if you can give me a better idea of what you want, i will try to get it close. not sure what else i could do at this point; i have submitted over 30 variations. i really want to make a winning logo for you.
The one in first at this point is fatter--but it's not so all the way through....my sig "j" is often heavier at the bottom, disappears a little in the middle, much like the "j" on the leading font. I like that font a ton, and haven't seen anything in any of the others I like as well as far as a "painterly" look. So that's why it's still there.
You have done excellent work, and I feel like you are first to connect with me, but the design is not there yet. I'd still really like to see a more upright font, if I had a list in front of me I could probably pick it. I understand you might be "done" with me at this point; I'm trying my best!
I am not "done" but probably just need a break to re-think and re-work. I will be traveling for work soon so I probably won't be able to get to it till tomorrow night maybe but definitely before the contest closes.
