I stayed as true to the original logo as I could, but gave it a fresh twist with the hockey stick 'J' on jerseys. I included a frozen jersey in the background, complete with icycles. I added the color red as a new secondary color, a little heat added to the ice. The logo can be tweaked as needed as the image shown is focused on the concept...
