So use "ICE Theaters" or just "ICE". 13 years ago Alisa Starks Client Designs ranked 1-4 are contemporary and have more of a high-tech feel...just the direction our team wants for ICE Theaters in preparation for the renovation of our facitilities and the conversion to all digital projection systems. The urban sophistication of #2 and #4 is aspirational and visionary....we want to be there! On the other hand, the subtle fun and playfulness of #1 and #3 may provide a more realistic transition from our current logo and image. Please note ICE uses "theaters" not "theatres". We are concerned that designs #1 and #3 will lose some clarity in directory listings in local Chicago newspapers, and believe that design #4 may work better than design #2 in the same publications. So we're stuck on the top 4 designs! We'll seek input from friends 13 years ago Alisa Starks Client Design #6 has potential. I like the use of the original color and the use of a skycraper for the "I" in ICE. I would prefer that the shadow effect be eliminated. Can you add more punch to logo and/or skycraper in another way? 13 years ago Alisa Starks Client Design # 5 is a strong contender and will move up with a few revisions. Favor versions of design #5 without the cityscape on top; filmstrip optional. Liked the option of adding another color to the play button. This logo has a bit of sophistication and playfulness combined. Design #2 and #3 are obviously different versions of the same logo. A final determination has not been reached on which of these two versions is preferred. So other designs are actually ranked higher.Still waiting for friends feedback....most would have been sleep in the last 8 hours! 13 years ago Ivan F LogoTournament Staff Contest Note: Hi all this contest is extended. The client requested more time for the following reason:Client requested more time. 13 years ago Alisa Starks Client Thanks for the time. I was tied up in meetings all day. Please disregard the rankings today. We are slowing weighing in on certain groupings of logos before finalizing the rankings. I hope to respond with more feedback in several hours. 13 years ago Alisa Starks Client Our team is still evaluating entries. The designs have been ranked in groups of two so that we can keep track of some of the variations. Our top 5 choices are actually the top 10. Since there were many variations for some designs, we either dumped these or added to the bottom of the rankings. Some designers have closed discussion boxes so I haven't been able to give direct feedback. 13 years ago Alisa Starks Client We're having all of our employees weigh in on the designs. Yesterday, we got feedback from 18 employees at one site location. In the next couple of days, we should have feedback from nearly 40 employees. Additional entries are welcome until the contest closes. Remember, "theaters" not "theatres". Also, we do not plan on using a filmstrip or film reel as a major component of the final design so tweaking of those using these images would be helpful. Also, we plan to use the colors in our current logo for the two-color version of the final design and are open to a mix of colors for the final 4-color version. For most print publications we will be using B/W and reverse type. 13 years ago Alisa Starks Client Thanks to all the designers. There were plenty of great designs. However, #1 and #2 were cited most often as the favorite design among our management team and staff. While these logos are distinctively different, there are very strong reasons why we prefer these two designs to all the others. I plan to use Logo Tournament again for branding other products and services ICE Theaters offers. Some of the designs could work for these purposes. I am not certain if it is appropriate to contact the designers directly for these projects or simply enter another contest. Please advise. 13 years ago
