Hello

Thanks for your great entries.

#107 is a clear front runner at present.

Would it be possible to see a version of #107 with the colours in the icon flipped so that the blue represents the sky and the orange represents the earth? ie Blue Top and orange bottom?

Also, instead of the the flame graphic perhaps you could use a rock art icon from some of the rock art contained in the Rock Art in the area which can be found at http://www.burrup.org.au/

If you could match the orange colour to be more like the earthy red of the rocks (from the rock art area) that would be great.

And perhaps we could see a version where the word "Campfire" is bolder that the i and the .tv?

Thanks again

Hi Air

Somemore feedback. This represents the conversation between myself and my client:

If you can please email me your email address I can forward to you the examples he's referencing below:

REFERENCE TO THE ICONS IN THE TV:

CLIENT: I still like the idea of representing Saltwater people and Freshwater people in the form of 3 kangaroo and 3 turtle. coz its something different. they dont have to be detailed as much, just coloured in shapes.

SIMON (to CLIENT): Do they need to be in a particular order? Ie The 3 kangaroos together and the 3 turtles together? Do they have to be sitting around the fire? When the logo is reduced very small you won't be able to make out what these shapes are so just keep that in mind. Can you give me some more direction of what you're looking for? Can you show me examples of the icons of the Kangaroo's and Turtles that I can give the designer some direction?

CLIENT: yes i want to see the animals alternated around a central object maybe just a dot or a swirl. the roo one ive attached is a good shape but i would like to see it in one piece and full colour white, the same for the attached turtle shape.

(AIR - I WILL EMAIL THESE TO YOU)

REFERENCE TO FONTS:

CLIENT: i like the size of the lettering in #237 and yes TV should be same size too. but i dont like the colours. maybe they could be the same red and blue from the logo but like this example attached.

SIMON: How sold are you on using colours in the fonts? Personally I think the text needs to be a flat block colour, no gradients and no effects. Check out the Apple website and look a the way they treat iPod, iPhone etc. Very simple and elegant which is a key Apple design approach. I think the colour and effects can be used effectively in the icon but I wonder if the font should be left as bold and plain as possible? I personally don't like the use of blue and brown in the font's. I think it cheapens the overall look of the logo. I think a bold strong font and a single flat colour is far more design friendly? What do you think?
I personally like the simplicity and elegance of the font and colour (black) of #236.

CLIENT: well make the TV letters in silver or chrome to reflect the more modern era. agree with the rest. In terms of the size of the lettering can we make the lettering / icon ratio a little closer to that used in #184.

NOTE TO AIR - Can you please see the treatment of the master "iPad" logo at the Apple website. https://www.apple.com/ipad/ Without directly copying the font and the treatment we are looking for something like this.

REFERENCE TO THE TREATMENT OF THE TV ANTENNAE'S

CLIENT: see attached chrome boomerang for an aerial, obviously flipped to look like aerials.

(AIR I will emails this to you).

OVERALL COMMENTS:

Air once you've made these changes is is possible to give the entire logo a "jolly good polish" so that it has a really shiny, glassy effect similar to this one: http://www.worldtvpc.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/abc_australia.jpg

We are getting there. Just tweaking now. Most of it lies in "polishing"!

Please email me at stebrinke@gramercypark.com.au and I'll forward the examples jpegs to you.

Hi Simon

here's the revision.. Actually most of the errors you see is because you are right - its due to the low resolution files LT converted my PNG files.. Anyway you will see the source vector files that are really great looking eso when you view it in high resolution.. thanks

I mean specifically the kerning and position issues of the texts are due to low res conversion of LT.

I hope we can already nail down this cool logo soon

speak soon
