I've edit the tagline to read

Italiana, Hand Crafted

Hi there. Thanks for your designs. #33 is cool except that my name is spelt with an "I" and not with "L". My feedback is positive, because I like the designs, but the look and feel are too modern and somewhat industrial (especially #33) and remind more of a surfboard or skateboard brand (don't ask why :D), especially if the word "guitars" didn't appear. The circled "N" on #31 is very nice, but once again doesn't reflect the classy/handcrafted acoustic guitars message I would like to convey with the logo. Lastly, I love the tagline but it is too long to be included in the logo and would be difficult to read from a distance, probably "Handcrafted in Italy" would suffice. I hope this helps you, I would really like to see more from you.

Hi, thank you for the feedback and I do agree a wee bit it is a tad to industrial...I rework and use 'i' not 'L"

Hi

I am working on new concepts

Logo Designer
Here is design 2

a stylized tree which reflects handcrafted guitars from only the finest woods and the over all shape compliments the beautiful lines of your guitars. This mark as stand alone icon embossed or inlaid on the headstock will become a international symbol of Italian Quality and Craftsmanship.

I've come up with a text layout that accomplishes 2 things first it is the company name and by placing a shorter version of my tagline to the left we also create a statement

I've done up up several test mock ups on headstock and the icon looks fantastic either inlaid or embossed.

Hi, thank you so much for these new concepts. I do believe we're onto the best approach yet, you obviously read my brief carefully. I love the new designs and the ranking speaks for this. Now about feedback... everything works as is, I agree with you that this mark will be a recognizable symbol... Colors are right and proportions too. If you are ok with this I am going to ask you to try something out. Using #97 & #98 push the round mark to the far left but still on top of my name, then from the left of the round mark, make 6 lines (strings) coming out sort of like on #74. At the same time you can try to employ a font that is more organic, on the same line as on #81 and #74. The idea is that, as I said, the guitar originates from the tree through my craftsmanship...
Once again, thank you for your contribution.

Thank you for the feedback and request. I here are several revisions
Since I play the guitar as well I've made the 6 strings different thickness to match the actual strings rather than being all the same..it's these types of small; detail that make a huge difference.

I may change typeface but will wait for your thoughts on this font

Hi, your new entries are excellent. I have looked at them for a bit and all I can say is maybe drop the word "italian". I think Hand Crafted or Hand Made should suffice, and if you want to experiment with more typefaces please do so. Color-wise, #129 works best, whereas #127 is difficult to read, maybe with black or dark brown lettering (and the strings) it would work better. Lastly, I have thought about using with my initials like "I.N. Guitars" as my name is a bit of a mouthful for non-italian speakers and I would like to be globally recognized, what do you think from a branding point of view?
I agree with you: small details are what make BIG difference. Thank you,

Hi, I still prefer #129. Could you please modify it a bit to see if it worked a bit better... Please, make the standalone mark slightly bigger, including the strings (the strings should go from the top half to the bottom of the circle, like on a guitar, but not covering the hole) and I like the wording as is, but I think the font can still be changed to something else. I hope this is clear enough for you.
Thanks,

I am curios could you make the guitar sound hole like #206 (without strings) and not have it effect sound to any great degree...it certainly would make a very unique sound opening

Hi, sorry about the confusion. I meant widening the string spread, but still coming from the right of the circle, forget about it now, forgive me. I like #204 very much, the font really agrees with me, can we work with this version? On #204, can you please keep the size of the circle and the size of the strings, but put the strings back on the right (as they were on #129 before my confusing you), also make the words Handcrafted Guitars the same size, but still smaller than my name above.
Excellent work BTW, many thanks.

This design is a combination of art deco and contemporary, it's clean fresh and an eye catcher that will make an outstanding head mark..

the simpler and cleaner a guitar mark is the more immediately recognizable it is...which is why I've steered away from over embellishing...

Hi, thank your for your effort. I agree with your remark about simplicity. I am just starting to understand the dynamics of LT and how things tend to take sudden turns by the end of the contest. I admit to not being versed in the realm of branding/marketing, but being an artisan I have an eye for detail and I know what I like. In this case I like the different takes on a theme that was established by you first, and that is obvious. I guess this is the nature of an open contest.... But I am ranting. I like all of your designs and the latest fonts you have set the standard of this contest, and I don't think there is much more I want to ask of you at this stage, no more changes, I have all the elements. I assure you that the jury is still out, I haven't made my mind yet. In fact, I will sleep on it and let the night bring me advice.
Thank you for raising the standard of my contest.

here is a design concept I've kept on hold for many reasons and it's time to present this this to you..I idea is wood shavings that embody the essences of hand crafted.

Hello, you probably are resting now, and deservedly so. I am very impressed with all you new entries. In #243 and #244 the whole of the shaving, instead of rectangular, could have the shape/silhouette of a guitar like #222, it would look all of the things you say plus it would evoke guitar. I hope you can submit before the end.
Many thanks,

Hi, not exactly. Take the shape as in #222 (just the shape) in its vertical position, and give it to the rectangular shaving in #243 & $244 so they take the shape of the guitar body, still in vertical position and without the neck. In essence instead of rectangular it is pear-shaped, for wont of a better comparison ;D.

Scott, I live in Tuscany, just south of Arezzo, about 60miles south of Florence... if you check my website there is a google map there. My guitars are for all pockets, having said that the nature of this work doesen't allow to charge less than a minimum just to cover expenses, that minimum is around 2000US, but I could sell the OMJ that you see on my website for $1800 with hardshell case by TKL, check it out on my page iacoponesi.com
I would never ever suggest to buy a guitar without playing it first though... unless you buy a standardized/mass-produced product that comes off an assembly line.

to curl the neck and headstock would pretty much make it look more like it bend rather than begin a nice shaved piece of would..this is why I went with the body because of this

however I have submitted a final design which is a simulated wood vector I've created...so the guitar is a inlay

#250 good but the whole shaving takes the shape of the guitar like #222...

I agree the custom made is the way to go..however this yamaha was a mistake by yamaha it's arare find to have this model....I believe it was manufactured for one year until they realized they were selling a 1000 dollar guitar for about 400 bucks..at the time I did not know this...only discovered this year...I was looking for the same and it near impossible to find not even eBay...

Well once again thank you for your time and consideration of my work....as stated each one is solid in it's simplicity to be easily recognized for the quality of your craftsmanship
