Of the three you have entered, I like #1 the best. However, I'm not a big fan of the "person" in the middle of the "o." This logo is for a book launch that will feature some military speakers. So the logo needs to be a bit "stronger." #1 is on the right track. Would also like to see some other color schemes.
The letter O has the star - medallion - and its also the pupal of the eye - the light blue background is the eye - i just tried this variation based on the note that the author is visually challenged
