What We Do
We are a law firm proviiding general legal and mediation services.
Industry
Color Preferences
We would like to use blues, greys, or perhaps black; we might consider gold/yellow.

No orange or red.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
No gavels or scales, please.
P.L.L.C. must be part of the logo; however, we do not want it to have a prominent place in the design.
The logo will be used in multiple print media; while it will primarily be printed in color, it will also be printed in black and white and greyscale. Therefore, the design will need to be easily converted from color to black and white and greyscale and retain its impact as a logo.
When we have tried to design our logo, it has looked "flat." We would like the logo to have some dimension without going overboard on shadows and bevels.
We know that the "danger" with professional firm logos is that they can begin to look the same; we recognize that their are limitations with professionals' names and initials. Nonetheless, we are looking for a logo that differs from a "typical" firm logo..

As between the firm name alone and a graphic element along with the firm name, we generally prefer to have a graphic element and the firm name. Most of the time, we will use the graphic element and the firm name together. Some times we will only use the graphic element (embroidered shirts, watermarks), and other times we will only use the firm name (return mail envelopes, for instance). All that to say, we want both parts of the design to be able to stand alone.

We would consider designs with a pictoral or abstract mark. (Tried to edit the contest brief, but it would not accept the changes.)

Originally we posted that we would consider "gold/yellow", now that we have seen a variety of designs we are definitely open to gold/yellow as accent colors in our logo.

We are also liking black, white and grey designs.

Thanks for all of the creative submissions; we are impressed with your talent and are excited about what we are seeing.

Really pleased that we are beginning to see the firm name portion of the logo addressed in the design submissions.

Like that the graphic element and firm name can stand alone and look stylized.
