i am an avid waterfouler. when i think of waterfowling the first thing that comes to mind is the drake mallard. it is the most recognizable of all waterfowl, so i used it in this logo, along with the state of Ohio outline. also you can see there are cattails (habitat) in the background and a swoosh of motion to show movement. let me know if i can make any more improvements to this for you. thanks.
