"NEON SIGN" [#58 ] ...the jpeg image really flattened out the neon look that the vector has... all the hi-lites and shadows do not pop in the jpeg, if you like I can send a detail or try to tweek the jpeg one of the coolest contest ever ! thanks, the B
vintage neon sign is a nice idea, but something doesn't match here in #58 .. i can't say that we're not interested because we do not want to rule out the basic idea but it still needs "something".. maybe a more simplified design with a lettering which could be made in neon also in real... also the issue with hi-lites and shadows is something that worries us because we're going to use the logo also in printed items
i can imagine a dark night on a lonely street.. there's light coming out from a open garage door and old neon sign at the yard enlights the asphalt while a hotrodder works at his garage on his precious dream car project...
I think this works totally better, the original one [#58] I was trying to make it look flat black and it was too dark. ...as for hi-lites and shadows for print, I get a lot of things printed that way even on t-shirts, but the bigger the print does always look best. - I am having lots of fun with this, and all entries are full-on it... GREAT CONTEST !
