Slogan
Advertise your tech blog by using Geek Gazette. By Geeks, for Geeks.
What We Do
This is a blog that allows smaller tech blogs to post articles to their own blogs to gain traffic.
Industry
Internet
Color Preferences
Please see the site at: geekgazette.net. I am using blue and brown and am open to your interpretation of color that would go best with the site. I would like it to stand out from the site and the logo will go in the header.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I would like to incorporate the name geekgazette and/or a lowercase g in the logo. I want the logo to represent a tech blog or some type of news blog feel to it. A newspaper looking icon perhaps? It could even be a small g or the name geekgazette with a "RSS" logo feel to it. You know, the swooshes that are on the RSS logo. but not mimicking engadget.com's swooshes.

The logo will go in the header of the site so size is important. geekgazette.net is the site.

Thanks Travis. #1 is a good start. I don't care for the font selection in #2 though.

The blue is good. It could be a bolder blue.

I like the G in #2.

I would welcome more iterations of this concept as well as what else you can come up with.

I like the simplicity of #10. I would be worried about the letter shadowing and printing although i like the look.

#3 is great, change the Geekgazette to GeekGazette and it will be better.

#6 is growing on me. Awesome creativity.

I think all text should be (capital)Geek(capital)Gazette. Both G's uppercase.

I still like the lowercase g as a logo and I like the logos that feature one lowercase g then the "eek" and "azette."

#8 I like the symbol. I would like to see more creative symbols like this or something more geared towards geekdom or news/tech/blog.

Awesome job so far.

Hi connexx, I tried viewing your website but I got an error about it not making a database connection. Can you check the site to make sure it's working properly? Thanks.

I was working with it earlier. Perhaps that was the issue. I get to it just fine.

#10 still looking good
#8 Not catching my eye anymore. I think the circles aren't working for me.
#14 I don't know on this one. Maybe too many boxes.

#25 Strong entry. I like this one. What would it look like Left Justified?
#17 I like the box around the g.
#22 I like the box as well but it seems too separated from the text.
#21 Don't like the G's
#24 is on the right track. A little modern. I like the G's better in #25 but it's on the right track.
#19 , #20 I'm not sure about the g in the box.

Awesome logos. Thank you for submitting.

I've re-ranked the logos.
#34 Great new idea.
#25 I still like a lot as well.

I've received such good ideas with this logo I'm going to start a new contest for another blog of mine. Thank you all for your submissions!

Would like to see #25 left justified and without the tag line at the bottom. Not sure about the color on #138

#100 has potential

Would like to see #110 using the colors in #34

This is my first logo contest so I'm not sure what type of file I will be presented but the logo must blend into the header of my website that I have listed in the contest. Most submissions have somewhat of a blue color but I'm not sure if the other logos that are white in background will work. If they are transparent and I can drop them into my header file with Photoshop then I'm in good shape. Otherwise I may have to choose a blue background logo. If anyone can comment on that I would like to know if the white background logos will be able to work. Thanks again for your submissions.

I have also started a second contest for another website due to the overwhelming response on this contest.

when the contest is over, the files will be delivered to you in .eps format.
This means that you can convert the logo to any format you need, including a logo with transparent background.
I'm sure that the winner designer, could provide you a transparent background logo.
