This is constructed in cyan and black. Other colors could be added for greater depth and complexity, but this is more versatile. The grid lines, combined with the sky motif, suggest both the electrical grid and the latitude and longitude of the globe. Fortis has a global reach, and is also helping to create a healthier planet. If you like any of these concepts, as well as the concept of the turbine symbol within the O of Fortis, they could be expanded, elaborated on, or, perhaps, simplified. It all depends on where you want to take it. Let me know if you have any questions, or if there is anything else I can do for you. I am new to Logotournament, but not new to graphic design. Thank you for your consideration.

Thank you Laura - I like the originality... much different from the other submissions for far.

I'm new to logo tournament AND to design, so you've certainly got a leg up on me!

To be honest, this has much more detail and realism than I was expecting. I had pictured in my mind a very simple, 2D line drawing or representation. But just because you didn't match my expectations, it does not mean it isn't good... I might just need to revise my thinking! Something like this could possibly work.

I think one turbine is plenty, and I guess I would rather have an image that is separate from the letters. I like what you have done with the photo from the web site... pretty cool. But I wouldn't use an actual picture in the logo, because we have three different models that can be installed on different looking towers. And it looks like to simplify the image, you removed the tail. Anyone considering wind would look at that and wonder how on earth does this thing work without a tail?!" Maybe that is where a simple line drawing/representation is better... easy to expand the product line and still have it look like the logo.

But I would love to see some more designs from you. Sorry for all the rambling and unfocused feedback, but hopefully that helps. I'm terrible with design which is why I need your help!

Thanks again!

I really like this one. It has a lot of versatility. We could place it within a square or on many different backgrounds. I like using earth tones to convey concept of "natural" and clean energy. We could do the entire thing in pastels, if you like. Thanks again for your consideration.

A horizontal take on a similar concept. The "F" here suggests a utility pole.
I'm new to this forum, but I think that I'm not allowed to incorporate any ideas from the other designers, and I sense that you are honing in on some key elements that others are working on. I won't submit any more logos unless you specifically ask for a change or to see something specific from me. It's been a pleasure working on this. I'm using this site to learn the newest versions of software and hone my skills.
Thanks

Nice job. You didn't have the style we were looking for, but you're certainly going to do well. Thanks for you efforts!

Glad to see that the contest is still "wide open." I realize I made a mistake in assuming you had decided on anything. I am learning so much in these first contests. I just learned a rather large lesson. :)
My new LogoTournament rule #1: It's never over 'til it's over.
I'll get the hang of this eventually.
