Typographic combination of a more traditional/official serif typeface for "federal" with a clean modern typeface for "grants" to appeal to a more diverse audience. Simple star embellishment.

Very official/stamp-looking mark. Gives the sense of a very solid foundation.

Simple single-line treatment to ensure there is no confusion as to what the web address is. Use of green as both an obvious reference to money but also to give a more inviting quality as opposed to the coldness of the blues.

There are 3 different fonts in your #1 choice. That's unusual (not usually accepted) for a logo. Two tops. Just my 2c!

Actually "GRANTS" and ".com" are the same typeface and "Federal" is a different typeface. So that's two. If using multiple typefaces for no apparent reason, then you could argue that that wouldn't be acceptable but if there's a thought or a reason I don't see why multiple typefaces can't work. I addressed the multiple typefaces in my initial comment. Basically I'm trying to present "Federal" in sort of a traditional/trust-worthy way and I'm giving the word "grants" a bit more emphasis and a more practical look as I think that will be the word that will get people’s attention.
