The outreach program is directed towards high school teachers and high school students. The theme is polar biology (plankton, fish, penguins, polar bears, seals), not just ice. #6 and #7 provide images that are more focused on the polar environment that we study and are more relevant.

Entries #5, #7, #12, #13, and #14 provide images that are more focused on the polar environment that we study and are more relevant but the outreach program encompasses all aspects including.plankton, fish, seals, penguins, whales and polar bears,
