Industry Travel & Hospitality Color Preferences Because my images are the "show", I'm not too concerned with really flashy colors, but maybe I should do that as the rest of the site is rather neutral. Not sure to be honest. I like dark greens and tans/browns on websites I've seen. The current font for my header is called Eurostyle, but if you have a better idea feel free to change it. Our Ideas & Additional Information Yes, my website header is something I like and may be what I replace with the logo or use the logo in combination with my header to compliment the site. Please visit www.eXacteXposure.com for a look. The current font I'm using is called Eurostyle, but that's not a requirement. Here is the link if I did it correctly... http://picasa.google.com/index.html# 15 years ago eXacteXposure Client I'm trying to enlist others (friends and clients) to help me with the design process (giving me feedback). Obviously I am the one who must like it, however I am finding that some people are asking "what is eXacteXposure"? Exposure is related to a camera and film and exact is for I getting it right (e.g. exposing the image correctly). But maybe I need an obvious backdrop or symbol to convey photography (or a tagline). I still like the idea of a shutter or camera lens for the letter "o", but one person commented he never even saw it and thought it was just a special design like the X'es. I like the filmstrip idea (although I don't use film and that may be dated) to convey photography. Here is what one professional in Dallas said "David, not exactly sure what I am supposed to do, but they are all just ok. They all need more PUNCH. more vibrancy. Just my thought"Not sure if these comments help or just confuse. 15 years ago eXacteXposure Client I think the key to the logo is to get the X'es right and work with the "O" as a symbol... Something that can be used on its own even if I wish. I think the X'es should be symmetrical and similarly sized (maybe not) but with only a few random extra paint 'spills' above or below the X'es. I don't like the "wavy" X'es as much as a straight or slightly curved X (main body part of X that is, hope that makes sense as I think "wavy" looks like I'm trying too much). I like a clean, crisp font of my first few choices. Thick font doesn't do it for me, but neither does really skinny. 15 years ago eXacteXposure Client Thinking about adding a tagline such as these... But still trying to figure it out. Short and to the point: "Focusing on our World", "Fine Art Photography", "In Focus and Ready", "Focusing on Photography", "Everything Photographic", etc. 15 years ago eXacteXposure Client Heard from several people that if the X'es are too big or flashy it reminds them of a XXX site. So now I have to think about that too. Yikes. 15 years ago eXacteXposure Client removed 15 years ago eXacteXposure Client An integrated logo or symbol is (I think) the key to the name. It's all about the little things. I do like a thin font (not super skinny however) as it makes the logo look high class or a step above. 15 years ago eXacteXposure Client I want to thank everyone for ideas, please keep them coming I have NOT made up my mind yet, but I have to run out the door and see a client today. But don't worry, I WILL decide on top 3 within 7 days (more like 3-4 days). Thanks for your understanding and I'd like to thank everyone for providing many different and interesting ideas. Sorry I don't have time to send feedback to everyone.David 15 years ago eXacteXposure Client NOTE TO EVERYONE...If I have offended anyone or caused problems I am sorry. I'm not sure what is going on and I wanted to spend a few more days on a decision, however there are apparent issues with Aus-Media and his work has been up for most of the contest. He has been very helpful (as most of you have) with tweaking his design AFTER I TELL HIM to do so. So if you think he did something wrong it was NOT his fault. I told him to change things and if I did something wrong I am sorry. Anyone who was left on my "keep" list was very good. I would be happy with any of the designs and was honestly having a problem deciding. However, Aus-Media has spent a great deal of time with me and I appreciate that. I do not feel that I would have "cheated" him if I didn't choose his design, but with the risk of his latest version being pulled I had to act quickly. I am sorry if I offended anyone, that was not my intention. This site is great and I would be happy to write a recommendation for any on my "keep" list.Thank You,David 15 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer Congrats AUS Media well done!!!!!!!! 15 years ago illumina Logo Designer congrats aus media!exactexposure, congrats on your new logo :) you havent offended anyone, the contest was a pleasure to work on, please dont be discouraged by the logocourts, the logocourt system is there to protect both the designers and the contest holder.
