Scott, Thank you for your entries. The E3 design is a little too fussy for me. I like where you are going with #175 in particular but I would try to find a different font. #170 I like the two tone E3 of this one.
There are literally 10's of thousands of fonts, it very difficult for me to interpret you meaning of try a different font. If there is a specific font you wish me to use or better still a font style maybe examples...would greatly help. steer me in the right direction,
Scott - I really like the e in the harrington font. It's a place to start anyways.... #177's font is too far in the other direction I like it but I prefer elegant but simple scripts. Thank you for making me drill down to the specifics. It helps me to clarify my thoughts as well.
may I give a word of design advice. A logo should be clean and simple this does not mean cheap it's how the design is put together does it look professional and convey your brand? It is a serious question you need to keep using when evaluating submissions I cannot stress that enough.
#194 & #198 I like both of these very much. I like the three people leaning forward in 198 and the two people working together in 194. Can you use a deeper purple?
#201 and #202. Love the mountains (I happen to be from Alaska so I find it poetic on multiple levels) as for color #204 I was thinking more of an indigo
#207 I like the font on this one and the snow capped peaks but I like the size of the logo #214 I do prefer the e cubed symbol. Can you try adding it to the design?
I have a problem and that is the person on top of the mountain pointing to a star, so I have withdraw as I do not need the hassle of designer dispute...
#222
I have changed the star to a torch which is more fitting than a star as the torch represents carrying it forward it more elegant and relevant.
this is the unfortunate side of crowd sourcing as you have already experienced with cubed 3 I'd like to point out that I was the first person to have a person point to a star.
More complaints, I am removing all designs with e3 cubed...I know you like the idea please keep in mind that even after a contest is over and oyu have selected a winner the winner designer is contractually obligated to tweak designs for a period of 2 weeks all this happens out side of LT
Very small world! I'm actually from North Pole Alaska (no Santa jokes please). My name is Shaneh - Nice to meet you. Thanks for all your hard work today. The torch is a good idea. I always thought of a torch as a beacon in the dark (representing hope) The Olympic symbolism is nice as well (the carrying it forward and passing along knowledge) I like #223 the best of the new ones. (still want more purple, though I'm on a old laptop and the colors aren't the best so I won't worry about color until I am on my work computer)
Totally outside the box here and if it's not doable that's okay but what about the aurora? Is it possible?
it is doable, I've done it before but with gradients I may have another way to work so that there we keep with solid colors yet still bee seen as aurora I'll have something done tomorrow...I hate to ask but have oyu asked anyone else privately?
NO jokes about Santa but it made me smile
I remember my first helicopter ride i was about 9 it was the first time I had ever been airborne...
Nope - The only reason I thought of it is because of the mountains. Living in Ohio now so I really miss seeing the aurora over the snow capped mountains of Alaska.
Helicopters scare the bejeezus out of me but the heli-tour of Denali was incredible.
Maybe this is a silly question but why do you keep withdrawing your submissions? by the time I was done replying #223 was gone and now I see the one I put in 1st place is missing too? Just confused!
it's late my time almost 1 am, I am heading offline for the night, thank you for being patient with the whole LT process...most of the time contest run smoothly but with higher prize amounts come more stress of protecting design direction.
#232 thru #236 I'm not sure I like the way the arms are. My first thought when I saw it was that he was throwing the lantern. I like the mountain best in #228 and #232. I like the style of lantern in #236
Both of the aurora's are beautiful. I was actually wondering if we could add the aurora to the mountain seen and have our fella reach toward it? I am not a design person AT ALL so I don't know what will work and what won't but I thought perhaps the logo on a black background will allow you to do a vibrant aurora with the mountains in silhouette.
well actually that was my thought too seriously I am not just saying that. It needs a wee bit of refinement. cannot see the lantern because there is not enough contrast between the gold and the purples
Do we need a lantern at all? Perhaps the dude can be throwing both arms up in accomplishment - he did just reach the top of a mountain after all. Just a thought.
the person needs top be tweaked, also thinking that maybe both a man and woman but not holding hands or maybe even a woman instead of man, let me work on it.
This contest seems like it is taking forever, funny how some just zip by and others seem to go slowly but they all run at that same time frame
