Online Coupon & Barcode Management
What We Do
web-based service that allows companies to easily design coupons for their own company. The service acts as a site plug-in and is designed to include barcodes on the coupon, as well as report back coupon redemption statistics by store location.

please see the attached "CouponSiteColors.png" to see the browns that I use for this site. It also shows a little of the site's style.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I like the web2.0 shiny look.
I would like to see creativity to incorporate any combination of coupon dots, barcodes, scissors, barcode scanner, reports into the letters of "Coupons In Demand"...
I would like to see the ".com", but minimally.

NOTE: Currently the size I envision available in my site is:
Height: up to 110px; Width: up to 250px; or so... So, ideally logo can be wider than tall.

NOTE: 5/26 contest holder modified height from 65 pixels up to 110 pixels since my website 'can' accommodate that; so long as it helps with your creative design ideas.

I'd like to see examples that use the colors that are attached to the contest against a white background (when I put logo in my site, I'll need the white to really be transparent.)
I like gradients and shine appeal
I can't say it enough. "creativity is key", not just text beside an unrelated swirl icon
Clean Readibility of the name is important
I think any entries that incorporate scissors should hide part of the scissor as if it is cutting into the logo

Just don't have the incorporated elements be too overpowering more-so than the words of the site.

I mentioned ideas of elements in the brief that could be cool to incorporate into the letters or design.
Since I'm a web application developer and not really a designer I'm not sure if this would work or not, but just one of many ideas might be to make one of the "O's" in the word "Coupons" a drawing of a round scanner similar to one here: http://www.keenzo.com/pimg/Image/Products/70/ET-1010053907-TH.jpg
and maybe have a ray of light shooting from the "O" onto a small barcode or onto "In" or "Demand"
a so-so example of the light ray would be something like http://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/images/products/AdditionalImagery/barcode.jpg

good luck all

I know it must be a little frustrating designing a logo and choosing the right colors, while my site isn't publicly available to see.

I want to help you all, which in turn helps me :)
I just attached two files to this contest called "siteLook..."

the one labeled current is how i currently have my site looking and is why I prefer the wider than tall logo.
but some great designs the need the height could easily convince me to push my toolbar over (but then transparency is key, because the logo will overlap two different color gradients.

I hope this helps.

since the domain name itself if long, I prefer the ".com" to be displayed small and vertical at the end.

since i don't know how best to describe the effects i like for the font "other than shiny", from a different contest, I can say i definitely like the text effects applied here https://logotournament.com/images/entries/75161054284-223.jpg

Last night i uploaded two screen shot versions of my website.
if your logo would fit nicely within 65pixel height please use the background for "site_look_currently.png"
else please submit how it would look with the background from "site_look_maked_room.png" (incorporates logo over the gray toolbar)

another example of a shine effect that i like can best be explained by seeing:
http://files.myopera.com/Demonstro/albums/113949/wallpaper_shinyO_1280x1024.jpg

For those that implement this shiny font style please rethink the top/bottom font colors based on what looks complimentary or contrasts well with my site's brown background color.

I hope I'm not contradicting myself too much because I have asked for complex/involved ideas, but when it comes down to it, i need it balanced out so that the same logo can make it to print on white paper nice as well. Sometimes I think more is more; when really less is more.

Good luck all

WOW, I am amazed at all the talent this community of designers has. I was impressed with this entire experience. Please be patient and aware that I may need to take several days to complete the judging on my top 5 picks, I will be discussing these with many of my peers.

I read somewhere on the forums that modifications can be made during the judging period so long as the designer is currently ranked number 1. So the number 1 ranking may change a little.

Thank you again
