Would you be able to do the logo on a transparent background, so that I could put it on any color, and so I could change just the color of the logo if I needed/wanted to?
I'm going to put this one and the other one that I have in the running out for a survey later this afternoon, so if there's anything you want to tweak before then feel free to take a stab at it, but I don't have any other suggestions at the moment.
Just to clarify about the word cosmos and the stars... I don't mean for the stars to be on the outside of the word like you have on #76... I like them where they are in relation to the word.
I mean to have them under the 'C' and 'S' ... like if you left the stars right where they are and just slid the word cosmos to the right a little around the arc so that the C is above a star, and the S is above a star.
I'm sure there are a number of ways to get to that point, be it font spacing, word positioning, etc. I'll leave that up to you.
Only thing I'd change from this point is tweaking some positioning.
I'd move the spacing of the word cosmos so that the C and the S fall within the top two stars. I don't know if it would be better to squeeze the letters a little closer together, or slide the stars out just a touch, either way, I'm just looking for a little more symmetry in where they are placed.
Same goes for the bottom... the word coffee doesn't have to move, but maybe slide the stars so that they are equidistant from their surroundings. The star on the left of the 'C' is in a great spot... I think the one on the right just needs to come down a little, and maybe to the right just a touch.
Beyond that I really like it. Definitely getting to a 1a and 1b between the top two designs.
I could've followed your directions if it was still the blind phase. Now all designs are visible and i can't do anything someone else has already done, even if you don't reference their design.
I liked the original location of the stars though... so it made a trapezoid, instead of being at the ends of both words. The two on top closer to the ring and top of the bean.
I like the 4 stars, and I like the way you made the ring go through the circle in a different way.
That font is a little off... there are some asymmetric ones, where the letters are a little elongated, that aren't so fat on the left side.
When I do the search "art deco font" a good example is the sencond one on the list... it has a cream colored background, almost like the color in this design... that's a pretty close representation
Huh, I didn't realize that you can't use elements from other designs. I figured if it was described by me irrespective of an image, that it could be a concept to be used.
A lot of people just really liked the effect that it pulled off... and I had a bunch of people do the 3d effect of having the ring break through the circle around the design.
- changed the font to an artdeco one
- 4 stars left
- about the outer circle going through the inside of the planet ring, that idea is already taken and i can't copy other designer's concept. However, i came up with a variation, where the outer circle is in front of the ring on the left side, and the ring is in front on the right side. This gives it more dimension as you requested AND makes the outer circle look like a 'C', which could be a plus given the name.
Alright... some feedback I got from 3rd party viewers.
Too many stars... maybe just bring it down to the 4 that are making a trapezoid around the ring... so deleting the star by the firs 'S' in cosmos, and the 'E' in coffee.
The font is too NASA-y. Something a little more 50's or like the font example I just uploaded in style.
Another suggestion I got was to have the circle around the design to pass through the inside of the ring around the planet... sort of like how a 3 axis gyro looks... it could give it more dimension.
Good luck man, you're currently 2nd on my feedback list, so you're right there in the running.
1) I'm looking for more of a 50's/sci-fi/space looking font, but that is a detail that can be worked when it's more solid
2) The relation between the outer ring, and the ring around the bean... having them touch is a little off for me... either have the planet ring completely within the outer ring, or have it protrude through it like you have it going passed the inner ring on the other design. I think that would give it better separation/depth
Only real tweak I'm thinking of right now to nudge it in the right direction would be to get rid of the inner circle around the planet. Then either make the rings of the planet completely inside the outer ring, or protruding out passed it... kind like pushing it into the foreground.
Also... I noticed you ditched the stars from an earlier design... those dots you have in there would probably look sweet as the stars.
I like the bean for sure... the ring is close, I'm not exactly sure what it needs, but it feels a little off... like maybe it should cross a little higher up the bean so that it doesn't have so much tilt into the foreground... I think I just have to let it marinate for a bit and look at it a few times.
Not the biggest fan of that font, but that is a detail that could be narrowed down when everything is closer to set.
One thing I would definitely like to see is the words around the logo, not underneath it. 'Cosmos' on top, and 'Coffee' underneath.

Good showing man, I really liked a lot of what you did with the design.
Best of luck in the future!

One quick question for ya regarding formatting.

Thanks for letting me know!

Really I'm just looking for symmetry in the space

Is there a bold version of this font?

#83
- repositioned the stars
- changed the font to one that looks more like LHF Gloria, let me know if you like this one

I like the spread of fonts you've put up... it'll take some thought to sort out which I like more, but it's a good direction.

Maybe if it was more upright, and the ring a little more pronounced.
