Color Preferences
We're open to all colors, but it will be appearing on a dark grey background (#a1a1a1). It also needs to be able to work when converted to greyscale to be included on letterhead and fax coversheets.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The main logo needs to be a wordmark that is wider than it is tall, but we also need a "companion" version of the logo that can be displayed as an icon to be used as a favicon and for social media sites (Twitter, FB, etc.)

#1, #2, and #3: Thanks for being the first to submit, but we're NOT part of 1UP, so they'd probably sue our butts off if we used something like that. :)

Other than that, it's a nice first shot. To be honest, we were actually envisioning something more "modern" and hadn't even considered the "comic book" look, but we've passed the link to the contest around the office here and we're surprised by how many of us like it.

One more comment - thank you for putting the "TM" in there. I forgot to include it in the original brief (I have since updated it).

#4 and #5: Because the mouse correlates to PC games only, we don't think it has a broad enough appeal to gamers on all systems. Also, the coloring doesn't really work for us - especially on a dark background.

#6, #7, #8: We're still liking the font choice, but would love to see some different color combos. Also, the skull isn't working for us, but the 8-bit-style graphic treatment is cool. Maybe a different image with that same treatment?

#13: We like the 8-bit treatment of the "codes" text, but for layout reasons we need this wordmark to be wider than it is tall. Although, we like this idea as the icon version of the logo for social media use.

#20: We get that this is supposed to be like PONG, but not all of our visitors may catch that subtle reference. We're looking for a logo with a bit more depth and modern look to it.

I actually just tried with two C's as your initials with "heads" that resemble people playing game...

PS : its better to send feedback's individually to each designer

Thanx!

#21 & 22: We like the old-skool gamer vibe with the font choice, but would kind inclusion of a little more graphic element. We'd also like to see the

#23: We really like how you incorporated a controller into the design, but the ".com" looks like an afterthought in this design, and the combination of the Web 2.0 treatment on the "CHEAT" with the gradient on the "codes" and the controller cable is a bit too busy.

And we prefer to post all feedback in this location so that all current and potential designers can benefit from our feedback and understand what we're looking for, even if the feedback wasn't directed specifically at one of their designs.

FYI - moving forward, there's no need to create additional greyscale versions. Making one just to show us what it looks like won't count against you, it's just that we're not sure how to include them in the rankings alongside their color versions, so we'll just be ranking the color versions and putting the greyscale ones in the "not interested" pile, even though we're interested. :)

#25: Interesting, but all of us agree that the controller looks a bit "off" being straight. Can you try rotating and/or resizing it maybe? And perhaps some other 8-bit style elements inside the O? Lock, or joystick, or...?

#28: We like how you put the ".com" at the end like that, but we don't quite understand the meaning of the arrow. Also, can you capitalize the second C, and maybe try some other color combos?

Thanks for feedback, i explained arrow concept in my comments, but if you feel it's not right, i'll try to work on other ideas.
Thanks!

#33: That lock looks too big. Any way to make the lock smaller but still recognizable? Maybe even change the O into a lock, which could allow you to make the 2nd C in "CheatCodes" upper case?

#36: That color is better, but we still aren't feeling the arrow...

While we're "liking" a lot of what we see, there's nothing that's just GRABBING us to make us love it. We're running out of time on this contest... let's see some fresh exciting stuff. This logo is going to be seen by millions of people per month! :)

#53: We chuckled at the "Cheating Cheetah" - any way to make him more 8-bit? :)

#46: This logo looks better in B&W than it does in color. Can you try some different color treatment?

#57: We've decided you were right the first time. :) After seeing this, in this style of design we prefer your original idea of the smaller c and bigger O so that the 8-bit graphic element can "live" inside the O. We'd REALLY like to see what a real space invader dude looks like in there. :)

#38: We like this design, but it still looks a bit simple. Can you punch it up somehow?

#63: This is nice, but we prefer your blue/green color combo. We're also not sure people are going to be able to see the code lines in-between the letters (we like them but we're not sure anyone else will understand them).

#64 & #65: The "explosion" effect is a bit too much. We still like your simpler design. :)
