I like this.
Thank you for the entry.

Could you also create another version... one that uses the the O's in "book" to create eyes (similar to entry #3) I like... but with the tail of the worm underneath the name instead of above. Also, could you insert the tag line "book lovers unite!" inside of the tail of the worm.

Another idea (since the tagline doesn't need to span the whole distance of the name "bookworm.com") is to put 2 or 3 books (as if on shelves) on each side of the worm. On the right side, the tail of the worm could be poking through the books (indicating that he has already eaten his way through them. On the left side, the books could remain untouched as they are ahead of him. If would appear as if the worm has paused and looked up to see the viewer and thereby created the O's in "book" as wide eyes to see who's there.

..or perhaps the O's could be the rims of glasses.

Borko,

I'm not sure what is happening, but i was told there were some complaints about brendon using books to contain the ".com" portion of the logo... because this concept had originated from you.

On february 24th, i sent you a couple of messages ... one about the use of books under the name, and about making the O's in bookworm the glasses of a worm with a tail body underneath (I also sent you a link to a rudementary) concept drawing. Instead, you put the books and the end of the bookworm name and incorporated the ".com" inside the books. You did not make changes to the worm.

I made similar suggestions to brendon. I asked him to put books at the end of the name, like you did, to contain the ".com" on the bindings and i also made the same request to make the O's glasses and put a tail body of the worm underneath the name. He did both of the things that i asked.

So, please know that he didn't intentionally try to steal any ideas/concepts from you. He was merely following my instructions.

If you feel some entitlement to the idea of specifically using books at the end of the name to incorporate the ".com", I don't know what it is I am supposed to do about it. There are several reasons why i did not select your logo as the winner:

1) i did not like your worm as much as brendon's
2) the books used in your logo were too short and didn't look realistic
3) you didn't make a revision to alter the worm as i had requested (with the o's as glasses and a body underneath)

What am i to do now?
Please let me know your thoughts...
