My submission for your review. Minimalist ink, the artwork has transparent background which will work as silkscreen on can or transparent vinyl wrap.
I do have extensive background in product packaging and design. My current project Clearmaple is just about completed we but the final touches on the bottle labeling. www.clearmaple.com
The product name was done by me here on LT, then asked to create the product packing. the images where modeled and rendered using Lightwave 3d.
#124, the ideea here is to put the short story on 2 lines 3 lines max and leave teh back of the can for nutrional facts and other legal info that is required.
the colour scheme is single pantone colour we achieve varis effets such as watermarking etc with a tint of that colour which boils down to single coliur print run...the comapny logo woudl need to be adjust to single colour..so the AI for the company logo is required.
August 4th, 2011, 12:06am We really liked your can as soon as we saw it (#115, #116). We would like to see a few more things if you don't mind.
We would like to move away from having "GU" on the can. All we see now is goo as the name for our brew. We really liked the water mark of the text though and would like to see what "BT" would look like with the same styling in the background. Also placing "Georgia Uncommon" in a larger more prominent text like the "IPA" is now and getting rid of the phrase "american style IPA".
Could I see an example of on like #116 with a slight increase in the logo size? I also posted a link to our .ai file on the forum post. We like the position of the logo and the wrap around stripe around it - could you add the full brewery name inside the stripe?
#125 and #132 we are not so keen on, but we did like #105 too. Could you redo one like it with the above tweeks?
The solid color labels look nice, but I am really leaning toward the faded blue to silver as in #115. That fade was what I was thinking about before we started this tournament and now that I see it on a can I really do like it. I just have to convince my partners now, hah!
I am really leaning toward #115. I just need to see it with the "BT" watermarks and larger "Georgia Uncommon". Also, Could we move the blue up slightly on the bottom just so that there is a little more blue before it fades completely out to the can color? And lets increase the logo size just a hair bigger (not as big as you went in #157) - just like it is in #115 just slightly larger.
Congrats and Thanks for all the work and varied ideas!
#167 was by far the best entry we had. We are not sure if we will use it exactly as is but we won't really know until we see a larger image and get the detail. The clean and crisp design you came up with is more in line with what we were thinking. The Watermarks are a very nice touch. And the logo looks nice and crisp (thanks for taking a look at my "masterpiece").
We are fairly pleased at the results we got for this label design on logotournament. We knew there would be a learning curve since it is a logo site, but the first few days were really like pulling teeth. All it took was one "can" to show up for things to really get started, but you were the only one that really paid attention the the contest description and submitted the actual format we were looking for, Thanks!
The 3D renderings were also nice. It was great to get an idea of the finished product.
Thanks again,
Tom
PS - What happened your avatar? Was that an entry from the Brick in a Box contest? That was my best friend's contest. I recognized it right off the bat and we got quite a laugh from that.
