Hakadu - thanks for the submissions so far! #41 - I'm not a big fan of the drop shadow below the sphere - my personal opinion is that this effect is over played. #44 is interesting. Still may be a bit too trendy / fun for me though, im aiming more for serious / professional.
Thanks for the diversity of submissions! I feel like most of these are still too fun / light hearted. I'm looking for more classic / business professional - i almost want to say, think "Lawyer" or something along those lines.
#60 - the font on this one is nice. Not a big fan of the B though. #68 is too feminine for me. #69 & #72 are much more on the right track. I really like #72 - but the white color on the inside of the large B looks strange to me.
#77 - Rockin'. This is the first entry that I could happily go out the door with today as my logo. I'm going to keep the competition open to see if we can come up with something better, but I'm very excited with this one. Maybe play around with the font of "Bauman" a bit more? also - the spacing seems kind of strange - specifically - the "BAUM" seem close together, and then the "A N" seem a lot more spaced out. I think it's just this font perhaps.
#76 - I'm keeping an open mind on this one - my initial instinct is that I'm not crazy about it, but it may be one that grows on me. So yeah, I'll withhold judgement on this one for a bit.
Another thought on #77 - maybe try having the "B" object actually be the "B" in Bauman. So, in other words, instead of having it how it currently is as: (B) Bauman Make it (B)auman
For #86 - I feel like maybe the (B) circle doesn't interact well with the slant of the "A". Perhaps another shape to encompass the "B" other than a circle?
I feel that the latest versions are the best yet because everything fits. The (B) icon is integrated with the name of the company. I think the circle is the best shape for the design, because it creates a nice contrast with the flat right side and gives it an aerodynamic look. I also think that the bar behind "CONSULTING LLC" is better than no bar, because it makes it stand out more without taking the spotlight off of (B)auman. I don't know which is better between #89, #90. The parallel bars in #90 provide an interesting look, providing a slightly more dynamic feel, but in the end it's probably a question of taste.
#94 - I like this as an improvement. There is some really small thing about it that irks me a bit though. Please see: http://shantheman.com/other/A.gif
The top version is how it currently is. I feel like that line from the right slope of the A should fit better with the edge of the circle (as per the bottom). Does that make sense? If not let me know and I'll try to explain better.
#110 - I like the "UM", but I'm not a fan of the "A"s.
#108 - I feel like the font of the "B" doesnt go very well with the font of the "auman". I do very much like how the "a" overlaps the circle though. Perhaps try this with the same font for both the B and the auman? Also - I think I may be in favor of dropping the highlight behind the "Consulting LLC" for this one.
#108 - actually, as far as dropping the highlight - I'm undecided - the highlight is growing on me. But yeah, definitely play with the fonts of the B and "auman"
#111 - how about trying something like this, but with a different font. Maybe a Serif font? You may not be able to connect the UM with such a font, but thats fine. Also, make the B and N reach all the way down to the bottom like the outsides of the A's do.
#140 - Try this one without the Red fill parts.... leave the A without the horizontal "-" part, but dont make it red in there. You may also need to make those A's a bit narrower than they currently are.
#134 - I think one issue I have with #134 is that it is really hard to read the "Consulting LLC" - it is just really small. I'm not sure if we have much room to work with in that respect though for that design. Any ideas? Maybe try it with Just the B and the N that go down below, and not have the crazy A's? And then you can make the Consulting LLC bigger? Not sure, but may be worth a try.
#134 - you could also try one with ONLY the "B" going below, and have all of the rest of the "AUMAN" at the higher level, then you could have the "Consulting LLC" span across that whole area.
From an esthetic perspective, I like the idea of having one leg of the letter "A" being lower than the other at the same level as the lever "B". Also it can symbolise the climbing to new heights, of growth.
#183 - I actually really like that one, I think it is really well done, but just doesn't feel right for the image I want to portray. A bit too fun / jovial for my business. Awesome idea though, and well executed.
Hakadu - I've started asking people to submit me some of their ideas in standard colors, so I can more easily compare one to another. For yours, can you post: #168, #145, #176 And have them be only white text (no gradient), and a solid background of #79784c Thanks!
Nice, thanks! Actually, do the same to #232 - scrunch the letters a bunch more. Specifically you can make the "B and A" overlap a bit, as well as each letter in "UMAN" can have their serif overlap a bit with the letter next to them.
