To me I can't think of any art that is more American that Abstract Expressionism and Minimalism. So my intension with the style is to make it very modernist, geometric and high class. It's elegant and strong, and can be read multiple ways. My aim was to create the graphic representation of folded paper, as this medium is the backbone of fine art. But it also shows that you take care and are precise because of it's sharp folds, and that there is a transparency that exists in your company, which is what all great businesses communicate. The font is Futura Thin. I chose it because I liked how it echoed the sharp angles of the logo. Also, by nature it is geometric, so repeats the theme of precision and care.

I wanted to create a logotype that was elegant and strong. My aim was to create the illustion of folded paper, as this medium is the backbone of fine art. But it also shows that you take care and are precise because of it's sharp folds, and that there is a transparency that exists in your company, which is what all great businesses communicate. I am aware that you want black and white only, but I couldn't resist creating a photo realistic concept, so the logo has been converted into fine halftones which shouldn't be visible, but, in my opinion, even if they are it would only humanize the logo more through a juxtaposition of the tangible and the machined.
