Advanced Infrastructure Materials, LLCLogo Design Contest

#1: We like the integration of suggested colors and originality. If nothing else, it opens up our minds to allowing more creativity on the part of the designers... since this did not integrate some of the elements, yet still managed to come up with a pleasing design (stepping outside our box, so to speak).

I'll be getting with my business partner today to review the designs so far so we can leave some comments for each entrant. I will say I am impressed with the quality and work of all entries.

Current rankings are strictly my personal feelings with a casual perusal. All of the entrants are great. I'll be coming back to rerank all entries beyond 1st impressions. I wanted to provide some immediate feedback, but I would like the opportunity to gather input from my partners, their comments and suggestions, then post those later.

We've posted comments on several of the entries. Each deciding member has a different favorite, and we are favorably impressed by all of the entries. PLEASE NOTE: We are told and in agreement that the final design must include LLC, as in "Advanced Infrastructure Materials, LLC" I want to thank everyone submitting for surpassing our expectations. We hate to use the "not interested" marker at all, but we wanted to move some of the similar designs by the same artists to the side so we may focus on our favorites.

I want to say again.... the rankings are my opinion and 1st impressions only, and I am receiving input from other members regarding the final decision. It is not entirely up to me. I do, however, want to provide input to help the designers towards the most likely and favorable designs.

Please bear with me today as I sort through the designs. The current preference ordering was more based on getting some semblance of yes/no versus saying the 23rd design is better than the 24th design... I need to order them to compare and take them to my partner to help me sort. We will try to eliminate it down to finalists and best designs from an artists multiple submissions. I will be setting a more realistic preference listing later today.

I've tried to leave comments about what we liked and did not like, but I must still get together tonight to review the designs. MUCH OF THE ORDERING RIGHT NOW HAS TO DO WITH SETTING SIMILAR DESIGNS SIDE BY SIDE, AND I WILL CORRECT THIS AS SOON AS WE CAN REVIEW THEM!

I have had the conslutation with partners, and I thought you might want to know what interested them so far. First, making sure that AIM or aim is present in addition to the full company name. Second, the color red. Third, a catchy enough icon or logo that could be printed on a business card without being lost or overwhelming the necessary business information. These were the subjects constantly repeated while reviewing designs. I hope I this information helps.

I'll review new designs and amendments with business partners asap. Only the top 25 are actually ranked according to expressed preferences. New additions and amendments are being added to ranking or not accepted list pending review with partners.

Once again, I've tried to rank concepts, but I think anything in the top 10 is too close to call, and multiple submissions or similar designed have been either ranked together for easier viewing by other judges, or clustered at the end of the rankings... this is just a convenience for the judges to review. We will get together again for more eliminations and comments, and further defining of the ranking. I know everyone is putting great work and creativity into their designs, and we really appreciate that. Because of that, we will make sure our final selection(s) are announced as quickly as possible to the winners. We'll also try to leave some comments and suggestions to logotournament.com about the difficulties of sometimes comparing designs side-by-side without rearranging the rankings.

We've sorted designs into initially acceptable or not, and attempted to rank as many designs as possible as they come in, but frankly, we became overwhelmed on the last 2 days. There are so many terrific entries, and we feel the artists deserve to know where they stand, and as soon as possible. I will complete filtering and initial ranking, then take the final designs to my partners ASAP, and will return with a winner as quickly as I can, hopefully within 24 hours. Thank you to everybody for their submissions, input and feedback, and for accepting our variations and requests. You're all pros.
