What We Do
We help grow families through adoption, mostly infant adoption.

Non-Profit
Color Preferences
not the combination of pink and blue. The design must also work in black and white (not grayscale, but black and white).
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I am afraid that when I gave an idea, it limited the creativity. We want it to represent 2 adults (birth parent and adoptive parent) and the infant, but it DOES NOT NECESSARILY have to show people. Get creative.

Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Great first attempts. A few thoughts in general
1.I forgot to mention that the logo must also work in one color (i.e. for use for a newspaper ad)
2.The logo must work when reduced to a tiny size (1 or 2"),
3.Also, we decided not to include the tagline in the logo. It will get lost when reduced in size

Comments per example:
example #1 Some of us liked this as the 2 rank, some as the last. First reaction was it was a peacock, a butt, or a tree. I saw the 3 hearts created by 2 hearts. I also liked the overall feeling of warmth, friendliness and security. That is why I moved it to the 2nd ranking. Nobody else saw the 3 hearts though. Is there a way to make that more obvious?

example #2 We liked the identifiable look and colors, but it looks more like jewelry. Connecting the "ti" in the name was interesting, but confusing. It looks like it says connecllon. I don't think it helped define the name or purpose.

example #3. (first rank). We all loved the simplicity. The color needs to be warmer

example #4 (3rd ranking) Some liked the stork idea, some didn't. When reduced in size (i.e. to fit on a pen), the baby will get lost. I liked the warm color.

thanks all!

Think beyond hearts, think beyond pink (what other colors are warm?), think abstract.
I"ll rank when i get more input from around the office.
thanks all

Entries 9, 10, an 11 were an interesting use of people and hearts, but showed children too old, and it showed 2 kids. We focus on infant adoption, and the triad of birth parents, adoptive parents, and infant

i moved #17 over because it looked too masculine...like 3 big guys in suits

We all liked the lower case, friendly font of entry #7. I still like the triad of #7.
Entry #16 and #6 were basically tied for their "feeling"- warmth and abstract. The fonts need to be changed. The script is too difficult to read when reduced to a small size..or from far away (as on a billboard).
Entry #2 moved up because of the triad. The connecting font was wrong
Entry #3 moved down because too many people saw a monkey face! (This feels like that inkblot test). I still like the triad or parents of 2 adults swaddling an infant as a heart

rankings are a group decision. We all like the simple fonts, whether the A and C are capitals or lower case, but the rest in lower case.

Also, there MUST be three elements to the design to show two adults and one infant to represent the adoption triad of birth parents, adoptive parents, and infant

Can we see something OTHER than PINK? Something other than hearts?

thank you

Please focus on a triad that is NOT showing the traditional male, female, and baby. We want it to represent birth parents (yes, usually the mother), an infant, and the adoptive family which may be a single parent, (man or woman), or a couple (man and woman, woman and woman or man and man). But it does not necessarily have to show "people" in any way.

(Midnight..and ranking without others' input.)
Thought I'd share the thinking:
I prefer the deeper colors of #72-#78, but I am waiting for them to be done with the design elements of #63 adn #64...and with a third element if possible. Although this doesn't show the 3rd element (yet) it keeps drawing us all in

#85 and #86 show the 3 elements we are looking for without being the traditional masculine, feminine, & baby

I love the simplicity and warmth of #79 design. Only a couple had a chance to view today's additions. This may be moved up...especially if a third element can be brought in.

If anyone is wondering why the black and white logos...it is because I asked for those to be seen that way. Some logos work in b& w, some don't. I need it to work in black only also (not grayscale, but black and white)

Sorry for the extended time...but the contest was going to end on Friday evening when nobody would be around.

wow this is tough. Some "voters" love a design that others definitely don't like at all.
Thinking.
I moved #25 up because so many liked its warmth, friendliness, and simplicity...though others said "No!"
I put #2 back in (though the wording and colors are all wrong) because it got a strong yes with this thinking:
When we got the 2 adults and 1 child element (as I asked for), it looked too much like a traditional father, mother and child. When the 3 elements were equal size, the units of the birth family, infant, and adoptive family (single parent or couple) looked like equal units rather than the family. Is this clear????

The designs are incredible....so creative.
After feedback from our focus group, the three interlocking hearts (#120) showing the adoption triad is a design chosen overwhelmingly by our primary target market - people who are adopting infants. I am now putting them together in the ranking so they can easily be compared online. Others will be ranked by the font style and or color. We still need to finalize the colors and font by the end of the contest.
Thanks all.

To make it easier for all 'voters' to see, we are moving over the ones we definitely will not be considering at this date ..keeping design and/ or colors we like

Wow...ask a lot of different people and get a lot of different answers. We expanded the focus group to include younger people who are adopting.
#145 is new and is now the number one because it is an acceptable compromise of voters' preferences...a heart, but not too sweet; shows the adoption triad (very important element that was missed too often in the designs); can represent male or female, contemporary although still a traditional heart; works in one color. ...

I believe if the colors were less "sweet", it will get even more support. But the colors need to be adjusted...the green and pink need to switch (so the baby isn't a girl), and the pink needs to be more of a purple

Overall...incredible, wonderful, and creative ideas
