Okay, however if you hover over the thumbnail image on the main test page it indicates you do not have ownership. This is what LT designer go by.

It’s a pic i took from my phone, and then with an app, made it into a black and white cartoon. So yes. I do own it. Along with my partners (Barry) in a written contract to use his likeness.

Unfortunately I cannot use that reference image to replicate Barry, You DO NOT have rights to use that image or likeness. any LogoTournament member doing so is breaking LT policy.

This policy is the Contest Holders protection (you ) and LT without a proper release agreement in place to use that image or even Barry's likeness could be a major problem not only for you ., Logo Tournament and the person doing so.

The most important is Barry's Likeness I cannot stress this enough without proper model (Barry) release agreement in place it's a designers nightmare.

I have mentioned this several times asking for clarification about Barry's image and no response to that question. If you had legal rights to use Barry's image it would be a non issue.

I am disappointed as I want to participate in this contest and win, but form the legal aspect mentioned above I cannot place my career as a Professional Designer and LT member at risk for a person's likeness/image.

As for after contest purchase due to LT policy I cannot discuss this while the contest is Active. After ready my comment and you are still interested then we can discuss once the contest tis over.

Could also do a version without the “joint chimney” to see what that looks like.
But all the other details would be cool

(Meanwhile, i would still love for u to take a crack at the above details and take a stab at it to win the whole thing)

Here’s the thing…even if the other artist wins, i would like this logo made for hats and what not. How can we make that happen?

Which would be
1- pic of Barry in the chair smoking the joint
2- cartoonish type of roofline above him
3- not a house in the background, just the roofline with a chimney (that’s in the shape of a joint with a “red hot” that is giving off smoke)
4- Barry positioned in a way that the smoke from his joint is lined up with the chimney/joint so his smoke is almost “going out the chimney”
5- Your exact font (the cartoonish style)
6- the blue/gold/white color scheme blue being the background

So i just want to be completely transparent… 1- i love this logo more than the other artists by far. But we have shown this logo along with another artists logo (that had the pic i uploaded of Barry smoking in the chair) and a coupla artist went that route with a roof line ion the background, and EVEYone… like 100% of the ppl we showed, said one version or another of “we like the house with the moon, but the pic of the old man smoking stands out, where as the other logo (yours) is more/less like every other logo we see.” “There’s something just COOL and comforting about the old man pic, sitting in his chair, smokin a joint” is what almost everyone said. So im not sure 2B pencil design, if u can go back to the drawing board knowing those details?
I can give u the notes ive had shared with the other artist and how they’ve been tweaking their logo if u like?

I was just going to ask how the decision process is going, dang ranked 3rd :(

Can u make the chimney a joint that has a “red hot” end to the joint that is smoking?

Unfortunately I cannot use that image as you do not have ownership it is LT policy. I am surprised other decided to ignore that policy.

Not only is it bad for LT but could comeback to you in the future.

Unless you have rights to use his image it's no problem but as it stand now it's reference only and cannot be used.

Can u put the silhouette of the pic “of Barry” i loaded, (in place of the bald guy) under the roofline?
And also somewhere underneath, the tagline “Best bang for your Bud”

Also take out the cannabis leaf if u could

Haha lovit! So the file (that i most certainly loaded) never came thru??? It most likely was going to be the one we were gonna go with, it just needed some tweakin 🤦🏼‍♂️

Did u possibly see the logo i uploaded in the beginning (black n white picture) of a man smoking? Wondering if u can make one with that in it along with a silhouette of a house in the background possibly?
