Comment Activity GoHomegrown commented on #91 Withdrawn I don't get medals samples either...and I design for Disney on the daily. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #91 Withdrawn I wish I could have gotten my hands on one for my collection it's not too often that one get to design for Disney 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #91 Withdrawn Well you can't please everyone, especially given the amount of people that attend those things. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #91 Withdrawn sweet!!!!!!!!!!!! that is one of my all time fav designs :) though I had read a few blog reviews some hated it. 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #91 Withdrawn I understand. You and I have actually worked on a project before together. Remember the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon medal? That was me. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #91 Withdrawn it is frustrating for me but I do agree with the policy 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #91 Withdrawn no problem. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #91 Withdrawn basically select one and we'll discuss options after, make sense? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #91 Withdrawn due to LT policy I cannot discuss extra files during an active contest. We can discuss after you have chosen a winner. It would appear as a backdoor deal to secure a win. Sorry for being vague I don't' wish to get my self in hot water with LT. I hope you understand 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #91 Withdrawn I agree. Will I get files for both or do I need to choose one? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #91 Withdrawn #80 and this one #91 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #91 Withdrawn Cool. You gave me some things to think about. What's your preference out of the 91 versions you have done? 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #86 Withdrawn Cute. But I meant keeping the fist/fork image and applying it to other designs with more emphasis on Go Homegrown. For instance, maybe "Go" is big and the fist/fork image is in the "o"? It's up to you. Looks like you will win this contest regardless unless someone else blows me away today with something new. 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #80 Looks good. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #80 how's this? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #79 Withdrawn it's an optical illusion the text is centered on each other plus the ragged ring has an effect as well. I'll update and off set the tag 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #79 Withdrawn I like it! Is the tagline centered in the circle? Seems like there is more space under the first part of it. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #79 Withdrawn how's this? we need a color separator to make the domain more readable without the spacing use in the previous versions. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #78 Withdrawn good eye I did not notice the letter gap 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #78 Withdrawn I like it. My only concern is how close the ends of the web address are to the fork. Feels cramped. Can you tighten the spacing between Go and Homegrown and also the space between the O, W and N? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #78 Withdrawn How's this? 1. Go Homegrown font outline a wee bit, we cannot go any thicker with this typeface. 2. lower case .org (looks better) 3. the tag font was the same from the start. I had bold it in the last update. Lets keep the font in the same family 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #76 Withdrawn I like this one and #77, so these comments apply to both. For the type... Can you thicken up GO HOMEGROWN but leave .ORG as is? You can tighten the spacing between the letters too. Initial cap Fork. Can you try a different font for tagline? Maybe the one from #19? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #77 Withdrawn how's this? 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #72 Withdrawn Don't like the lightning bolt. I prefer the look of the two outer circles. Just widen the size of the circles so the type has more room. The orange space still looks too empty. Can you distress it to break it up some? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #74 Withdrawn option 2 rework the broken circle with out expanding to make the wording readable. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #73 Withdrawn any single change to a design changes everything around it. I've gone back to one of the original circles to help with readability 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #71 Withdrawn ok 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #71 Withdrawn I like that. Initial cap Fork. Can you push the second circle from outside edge further out to give type more breathing room? Also, can you add anything to orange space above fist...small straight lines or lightning bolts? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #71 Withdrawn removed it had a text alignment issue re-uploaded 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #72 Withdrawn How's this? I've made a few cosmetic changes as well. was not happy with the original fork and re-oriented the outer circle. The bottom end of the fork is now coming from behind the small finger not behind the hand as it is in the original. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #71 Withdrawn How's this? I've made a few cosmetic changes as well. was not happy with the original fork and re-oriented the outer circle. The bottom end of the fork is now coming from behind the small finger not behind the hand as it is in the original. 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #70 Withdrawn I like that. Since the fist is bigger, let's lose the chain and make the orange circle smaller to give the type more room. Also change tagline to Let Your Fork Be Heard 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #70 Withdrawn How's this? 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #64 Withdrawn It's up to you. You're currently in first place with the other one. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #64 Withdrawn I'll see what I can do but it will need to be offset to accommodate the forearm and the whole fist fork and forearm will be smaller 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #64 Withdrawn I prefer the other one. If you want to show me something else, however, how about fist with fork from the palm view with some wrist/forearm exposed. 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #56 Withdrawn I think that has more impact. Any ideas on how we can fill some of that empty orange space? Would it look weird with a white circle chain with half bleeding off into the orange? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #56 Withdrawn how's this? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #54 Withdrawn will do 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #54 Withdrawn Can I see one with a bigger fist and shorter fork? You can remove the lines between the tagline and GHG. Tilt the image so the fork is horizontal and can bust out of the circle into the newly created white space. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #54 Withdrawn minor update the hand is now oriented in the right direction 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #53 Withdrawn minor update 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #46 Withdrawn hahahahaha too funny 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #46 Withdrawn Closer. But I can't unsee the hand gripping what appears to be part of male genitalia. Either turn image sideways or lose the spoon? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #46 Withdrawn how's this? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #45 Withdrawn How's this? 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #25 Withdrawn okay, I'll work on this in the morning it's late my time and heading off line. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #32 Withdrawn so it does lol 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #25 Withdrawn I like the rough circle on this one. If we come up with a solid center icon for the middle, we can then have the bottom circle changed to GOHOMEGROWN.ORG. Not a fan of the ivy sides. 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #32 Withdrawn Looks like the top of a wedding cake :) I'm thinking one central figure would be better. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #34 Withdrawn flipped the Fork&Spoon so it literally fork and spoon 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #32 Withdrawn this concept will appeal to a wide audience with out being aggressive. Utilized Fork & Spoon. placing knife of the design even though it's table knife is a violent object. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #29 Withdrawn Absolutely following, I'll see what I can do 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #29 Withdrawn Hey Scott. I can tell you that you're going to be in the next round. You're giving me the most original stuff. Given that, I'd like for you to start thinking about an icon which represents the message. I was originally thinking that the badge/seal would be that, but I see now that it's a challenge given the extreme different lengths of Go and Homegrown. They don't pair well together. Anyway, can you brainstorm what an icon might be that represents the community supporting the independent restaurants in their city? I'm trying to rally the community around the belief that big corporate chain restaurants are driving the little independent eateries out of business, and that the community needs to take a stand by supporting the little guys. It's going to be fight. So my first thought for an icon is a show of strength like a fist raised in rebellion with a fork in its hand. I think that would be a lot more powerful than any initials. To stress the point, my original tagline for this brand was going to be "Break the chains. Join the rebellion." That's the underlying message that this logo should represent. Maybe we use a broken chain in some way? Are you following my line of thinking? 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #19 Withdrawn I really like that homegrown font if you want to use it on more concepts :) 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #29 Withdrawn I get medallion style, like a seal of approval. I'll work on it. 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #29 Withdrawn I'd rather not highlight the "O". Maybe use a green "G" instead? Then enclose the whole thing in shape of some sort? I really prefer an enclosed logo. 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #28 Withdrawn I'd prefer a logo that isn't an extreme horizontal or vertical shape. I thinking something fairly equal in length and width would be more practical given the multitude of uses we have planned for it. 7 years ago 2B Pencil commented on #28 Withdrawn Let's take in a new direction 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #19 Withdrawn The "Go" comes across as vegetables. This is to support restaurants, not the growers. And where is the web address and enclosed shape? 7 years ago GoHomegrown commented on #25 Withdrawn I really think Go and Homegrown need to stay together. This currently reads Go.org to me. Also I would lose the leafy part as that implies "from the ground" like vegetables. This is to support restaurants, not the growers. 7 years ago
