Couldn't help but post this after seeing it.

---{Typical Mac User}--

Heres a case where having a mac blows ass and the software that was designed on/for windows only runs good on windows. They had to made a half-assed software port to mac and look, its so awful this

*typical mac user with glasses* was so unhappy he made a youtube COMPILATION of his frustration with his 'mac version of steam'.

'Steam' application has been around since counter-strike 1.6 beta in 2004.

So, its nothing new and is the accepted standard for a video game marketplace/in-game chat client. It doesn't launch every time I load up my computer and I've never had it crash, even playing unsupported games with the chat client its been rock solid.

Ha Round two!
1. VMware dar!
2. Steam? We're not 15 year olds
3. Convincing a design community that macs blow may be tough (the adobe sweet is way more reliable on mac).

If you hunt around on google you should be able to find some gaming forums that'll give ya a bit of luv!

At the end of the day we can all feel like this though...

PCs are superior over the Mac for gaming in every imaginable way possible, especially if part of the enjoyment is tweaking and messing with hardware. But if you just want to play the game without too much messing about, I think consoles are the best especially if you want to play a big flatscreen tv.

Macs are for working, not playing in my opinion. The amount of frustration & time I save from the Mac has been well worth it. (Coming from a long time PC user who builds his own machines)

Yeah, when a game crashes, most people won't cry out about all the lost time (unless its an oh so important high score :p)

have to say though, unless you properly maintain your mac, it will run just as badly...
and apple makes it pretty tough finding out how to go about doing that...
until i found out about repairing permissions, i did a clean install every 2 months or so (mind it will always work more smoothly that way, it's just so much more work)...

I've had macs for umm about 20 years now, and a pc for 2. in those 2 years I've lost 2 hard drives worth of work. guess on which machine... (ok, ok, the lightning-strike-fried-drive was 99% my fault....)

PC gaming is definitely unparalleled on every level. Most designers work completely on OSX and will never switch because of how simple it is. I use both operating systems depending if I am at work or home, and I enjoy my PC more just because of how much less it cost me for so much more hardware.

fangirl here....:)
what is steam?
macs are not game players...
they are finetuned design instruments...
want to play a game, get a cheap PC...
most games are built for the masses...most have PC...and most will run through emulation to 'work slow- crappy' on a mac....emulators are why so many PC game work on a mac, but, why!!! they are sooooo slow....:(

my little baby mac, has never played a game in her life;)

Steam is not a game.

Steam is like skype for *gamers*.

I think using a MAC is just for fashion.Adobe products never crashed on my Sony Vaio FW with Windows 7.
Well, some people like to pay 1000$ extra for an aluminium case and there is nothing wrong with that.

Ditched my PC 8 years ago...never looked back.

Have to agree on Tyler for this one...Macs are for working, and they've never crashed on me while working (not ever I hope!)

i love mac becouse a good design :D ... like the new iPhone that do not work if you try to use it with your left hand ... hahahahah ... please, do not talk to me about mac since is only a big boom vogue.

iPod touch or iPhone ? are you serious the difference is only that with the secon you can use it as a mobile phone ? c'mon !!!

i have my own notebook, is not a big brand but it works fine with half money and better technology (for now).
so i am happy in this way (even i was near to a mac) and i do not cry becouse i do not have a mac :D

that is my opinion ... not yours ... maybe :)
