So, I've been using Chrome for a few months now. I love how minimalist it is -- really putting the web pages front and center. For me, though Google may have its flaws, it's the little details that I'm finding really cool.
I just came across this page in the Designer Discussion:
http://logotournament.com/forum/designer_discussion/7857When I clicked on it, a little bar in the browser popped up and said, "This page is in French. Would you like to translate it?" Normally I would use the Google translate tool to do that, so it was just really cool to be able to do in browser.
Another one that I saw a few weeks ago is in Gmail. If you write text like "I've attached" in an email, and then try to send without actually attaching something, Gmail will be like, "Are you sure you want to send this without the attachments?"
A little scary, sure. But totally cool. I love that I was born at just the right time, so that I grew up during the early home computing days (and can adapt to emerging computer technologies), but that I'm old enough that I don't take it for granted!
So, has anything techy surprised you lately? Anything made you go... well that's just awesome!
