Our Ideas & Additional Information
I would like to have a logo that works as an icon (in a rounded box like an app) and one that works outside of the box. I love the simplicity of the evernote logo.
I have two concepts in mind. One is a sailboat curving upwards towards the top right hand corner over a watermark graph. The second one is a marine style telescope suggesting insight.
Please not that both images need to be rotated 90 degrees left from their current format.

Thanks all for effort. I don't necessarily need the slogan as a feature of the logo design. I'm good with designs that don't have the slogan but can add it when needed.

More importantly, I really want a simple design that doesn't have too many different elements competing for attention. Again, I like the Evernote logo (www.evernote.com) for it's simplicity.

Some design elements to try. A simple sailboat shape viewed from overhead, with or without sails. The boat should be pointing towards the top right corner of the icon box and should have a single line behind it showing the motion from bottom left of icon box towards top right. The left hand vertical side and the bottom horizontal side of the box could have subtle lines indicating a chart structure. I would like someone to try only these three (not counting sails) elements in an icon design and see how it looks.

Please ask questions if I'm not being clear enough.

Thanks!

These are overhead drawings of boats. The important thing is the shape not the details, only the shape.

I would like to see this shape (no details, only shape) in a logo as described above.

Another approach is to have the boat shape curving up from bottom left to top right over a very fine lined set of lines laid out like a chart. I think it would be important to have a line behind the boat showing the curve from bottom left.

This illustrates the path the boat should be on.

Everyone in the contest. Thank you all for your hard work so far. I have been working on all the designs and reviewing with my partner in this business. I would like to focus all efforts around the designs presented above.

Please use the black one. It captures almost perfectly, what I'm looking for. I would like just that sail design with exactly the shape and twist of the sails. The only mistake I made is that the top of the mast is curved slightly too far back. Otherwise, this is the design I want. Please place on a medium blue/sky blue icon shaped background with some nice flow effect.

Again, please see the Evernote icon as a reference.

Also, I have included below, two links to google images of sail boats from the same angle I used when drawing my sails.
