Great first concept. I do like how you separated the words as well. You think you can make the monkey look more mischievous while putting an oval of some type around the logo (like Ford's) just to give it the look like it is some sort of emblem that you could sew onto a jacket?

i like #56 but can you make the monkey look a little less PG, and more PG-13 and bordering on rated R, if that makes any sense. My investors want a slightly more serious look but you are on the right track.

sorry Robbert, i meant to make the monkey and fonts less cartoony and a little more serious....does that make sense? I don't want an adult to look at the logo and think it might be for children. This will be a medicinal device and while we don't want it to look overly serious, we want to stay away from a cartoony look as well. Something in between would be great! THanks again for your hard work.

you think you could play around and add something like a cloud, or wind, or something that shows exhaling? doesn't need to be from the monkey per se, just somewhere in the logo?

Robbert - much better, can you go a few more degrees more serious on the monkey? Can you try using a font similar to #1 (if this violates rules forget about it) - I really like the cloud concept you've used, you take feedback very well and then execute, it is much appreciated.

Also, can you remove the inhales into the monkey's nose? I'd like to see how that looks. Also, can you try one with the monkey exhaling thru his mouth as well? kind of like how the mouth looks on #58 where he looks like he is exhaling thru the side of his mouth.

On a side note, I know why you were snickering about ARTIOBAG's earlier submission, my wife walked up and looked at it and said the monkey's penis is showing. Is that what was funny to you? LOL

Thanks for checking in constatly, I am traveling so I am trying to give as much feedback as possible and thank you (and the other artists) for taking the feedback and building on it.

the ape looks great! would you mind doing #63 with origami style font? I saw that on this page and was intrigued - http://www.logoorange.com/logo-design-09.php

One of the founders likes #64 a lot. In order for this one to work for us, though:
1. We need to increase the contrast of the shield with the ape. This may be achieved by using small steel dots that are light in color with a white background. This will tension the image properly and make it easier to print.
2. Create a shield border with a darker steel look
3. vapeXhale should be changed to VapeXhale
4. At the top part of the shield, instead of making cloudy smoke, make various sized, aligned dots to symbolize vapor. Again, these can be in various shades of steel--from light to dark.

Play with these concepts and have fun--I think you're on to something great!

I really like both of these--I'll check with my partners for their thoughts. Many thanks!
The reason your original hadn't made it into the top 10 was due to low contrast and sortof a 'monkey lost in soup' feel... this is starting to tension better be more unique than just a cloudy shield. My one thought is we may have to massage the bubbles a little bit. I'll check to see what they think. It's catchy, unique, memorable. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

I like the top section of #106, but the negative space doesn't work with the logo. If there was a way to mix the bottom of #105 (keep the text as well) and top of #106, while making #106's top look a little more like vapor (really like the technique you're using, nearly there), this is a solid, solid contender from my perspective. I'm still waiting to hear back from my partners. Cheers!

Hi Robbert S.H.
I think we'd like to see a mixture of these two per my comment above--again, this is a pretty damn solid entry, but a little more experimentation before it's a for sure thing.

#115--great work! We all really dig it. Two last things that occurred to me that we should try:
1. #115 with the bottom half dark similar to #106's bottom half.
2. #115 with a border around the entire shield--nothing silly, but something like the 'Blue Cross Blue Shield' healthcare logo (see google images) or something that makes it feel even more rugged.
Way to go!

Hi Robbert- Haven't seen any updates--you're so close to getting this though! I'd love to see the full potential fro my comments above.
Also, we mentioned this to another person in the running:
Could you try to put a king's crown on #115? Maybe try a few different kinds of crowns and I think it would probably look cooler with the crown tilted than just straight on.

Thanks for all the submissions and great work!
