Some more brainstorming: We might prefer logos indicating transaction, exchanging, or motion.
The palette from kuler is meant as an idea-- we do not specifically require those colors, although we welcome designs which use them directly.

#1: Starting with the font, we like the fact that "traffic" is bigger than "enhancement", recognizing that "enhancement" is an awkward part of our name. We'd definitely like to emphasize the "traffic" part. The future typeface is fine, but we want to make sure that our image conveys enough seriousness. We deal only with other businesses in the industry, not end-users, so the look should be more "establishment" and not "fun". Although we're a startup, we don't want to LOOK like a startup! Maybe using all caps or at least capitalizing the first letters would help. Also, the colors are a bit too edgy and childlike. We are in the internet space, but we are NOT a consumer-facing web 2.0. Ideally we'd like to see something that's relatively corporate but with a little extra flair or creativity. Many of the people in our industry are creative, but we want them to view us as a serious, established player in the market...
We like the idea of having an abstract symbol accompany our name (either side) but the orb + wings doesn't really grab us as being appropriately representative. We buy and sell both traffic (i.e. people browsing the internet) and advertisements and match the two together using our proprietary targeting algorithms.

Some great new submissions over the weekend. We like the direction that both the new artists are taking. #2 brings a neat wiring theme to the logo, but we think the shine from above is a bit distracting and unnecessary. My partner doesn't like the serif font for "Enhancement" but I do, so maybe that's an internal debate :) We both love #3,#4,#5, and pick #5 as the cleanest incarnation. The gradient on #3 seems to muddle the logo, #4 has potential to stand out with maybe a lighter gray shade, but #5 really pops. We like the logo that looks like wire terminals but also people, with the implied graph ascent. The kerning on the text seems a bit too tight in these three, but otherwise it's an excellent entry. We originally thought we'd like something with a bit more color than #5, and in that sense we like #4, but the image in #4 just doesn't stand out in contrast the way #5 does.
Overall, these are very encouraging entries from the two newcomers!

From my partner:
I still like #5 best. #7 is better but it doesn't hold together as well. Maybe a lighter background than black and having that portion be smaller and maybe rounded, something that isn't quite so big and horsey.

#19 we rejected as being too derivative of Sgt. John McTavis' work. Play fair!
#16 and #17 are great improvements, and my partner and I are split on which logo we like better. #17 is her choice which I gave preference... We both like the font but aren't so sure about the color choices. Perhaps it would benefit from a grayscale treatment.
#20 is a good new entry, and we like the swirl idea, giving motion to the logo. The circles on the end don't seem to work in this context, however, and look a bit too much like -ahem- sperm.
Our favorite icon remains #5 with the darker gray background, but we've put #10 next to it at the top for a couple reasons:
We love the font in #10, except for the very rounded F's which look too wimpy. Also, we like the placement of the icon on the left, since the slope of the wirepeople leads naturally into our company name. The "Enhancement" in #10 could be darker. Our ideal logo at this stage would be a combination of the two, with the darker gray icon background, placed on the left, the darker "Enhancement", and the font of #10 with the F's straightened a bit to be manlier.
But we don't want to discourage other entries, either. The motion of #20 is a development we'd like to see refined and a played with. The font in #5 and #20 could work if the tracking (spacing) is correct, and #17 is a contender if the colors could be tamed a little, particularly in the font.

Sorry to sound pissy, but I have to say that the entries referencing streetlights and highways are not interesting to us. It's not that kind of traffic, and our company has nothing to do with cars. Did you even read our business description or look at the links to competitor's sites?

First of all, we'd like to apologize for the number of entries in the "not interested" pile. With the large number of new entries, we didn't feel it was fair for 3 versions of the same idea to take up three rankings and push other candidates down, so we've kept the most interesting entries from each artist in the rankings and pushed older or less interesting, duplicate ideas into the "NI" pile. There are a couple rare exceptions, but this policy makes it easier to see the idea rankings and also gives more credit to good, but not top, entries. Thanks for understanding.
#34 is our favorite new entry! The font is serious yet has flair in the "a", and the logo not only relates the interconnections we make but also reminds us of science & chemistry, which communicates the intensity of our sophisticated targeting algorithm. It's hard to find much wrong with it, but since the icon is asymmetrical, we wonder if it would give a different weight and feel if the logo were rotated, perhaps 90-degrees counterclockwise? Also, it might be a little short on color although we're not sure how to change it. Maybe the bonds/links could be something other than gray? Or maybe that will be too much.
We like the wiring diagram in the #28 icon and the color balance seems better than previous entries #16 and #17.
#40 is a decent entry: we like the blending of color in the blocks but don't think the font is as compelling as some others. The color in #41 is great, and the logo seems clearer than #40, but we're not sure that the hexagonal tiling communicates our business well. Enzyme's other entry, #29 also has potential: maybe use the color blending idea in #32/#40 or otherwise give the starburst some more flavor? It just looks a bit flat.
#37 is an interesting badge and gives a very different look, but we're not sure it would work well in many different positions on our website, so we prefer the variation #36 as being more appropriate for the medium.

Ooops, forgot to mention #27 which we like but think it's a bit too busy. The font is interesting and identifiable. The logo, at smaller sizes or from a distance, just looks a bit tangled, but as you can probably tell from our other posts, we like the link elements and colored tips.
