Contest Brief
Company Name:
Tradesource
Slogan:
What We Do:
Tradesource, the largest trade exchange in Phoenix, strives to revive our faltering economy by educating businesses about America's oldest currency--barter--and help them use it to increase sales, improve cash flow and expand their market share.
Our Industry:
Service Industries
Formats Accepted
.EPS only
Top Three Things to Communicate through our Logo:
#1 - Hope (e.g., using the image of the Phoenix bird) for economic recovery
#2 - That, even though the economy is poor, their products and services still have value through barter
#3 - In the future economy, that barter is the new currency for American business and that that Tradesource is an established and reputable partner
#2 - That, even though the economy is poor, their products and services still have value through barter
#3 - In the future economy, that barter is the new currency for American business and that that Tradesource is an established and reputable partner
Our Target Audience:
Primarily small businesses, such as manufacturers with excess inventory (e.g. furniture, equipment) or space (e.g., restaurants) those who provide professional products (e.g., graphic design, janitorial services, etc) and services that are beneficial to other businesses. They are in need of new outlets and outreach for their products and services, but have limited financial resources. While the company has been in business for 24 years, its outreach has not changed in years and its current demographic is older people and businesses (logo and website are very dated). We hope to rebrand Tradesource with a more modern image (classy, eye-catching logo and slogan that will launch new website and social media campaign). Once the model is perfected in Arizona, we will open branches in San Diego, Chicago and Atlanta, so new logo should not be too-Phoenix-centric. We want to educate and attract new businesses and services and younger entrepreneurs to one of the world's oldest business methods--barter.
Styles that we are interested in:
Pictorial Mark
A pictorial mark uses literal or representative imagery to symbolize the brand. Famous examples include:
Web 2.0
Although there is no official description of "Web 2.0" logos, some common elements can include: vibrant colors, subtle 3d feel, bold type, color transitions, and shadows. Famous examples include:
Please note that the above brands are in no way, shape, or form associated with LogoTournament. They are cited as examples under Fair Use for the enrichment of the general public's knowledge of the graphic arts.
Color Preferences:
green would be preferred, but not mandatory
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
I have included a document showing the evolution of past logos to show how far we have come, yet how far we need to go! We would like to include the "Phoenix bird" theme, but not at the expense of having something modern and memorable that would be a critical part of our social media outreach.
Where we will use the Logo:
Web, Print, Television, Mugs, T-shirts
