Color Preferences
strong black/white contrast with perhaps gray or silver on color fabric or various color backgrounds. the shirts will be colored so the logo must stand out.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Animal statue was shortened/taken from Animated Statue. We envision a muscular Greek statue, flexing his biceps, an animated statue, full of vigor and life.

Take Michelangelo's David and pump him up, bigger muscles, use light / shadow contrast to highlight the muscle definition.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

this will be used on a t-shirt, letterhead, business cards and a website. our primary evaluation will be for how the design translates to a sew-on label or heat-stamping process onto fabric. we were looking for something more 3 dimensional, perhaps in grayscale, to show more than silhouette. we want to show muscle definition using light and shadow, not just a black and white silhouette, but perhaps silhouette is more practical. your experience is the guide.

This is outrageous!!! 3 cases of photo tracing or using clipart already - that means 3 banned designers. There was another one who succeeded in withdrawing before being caught. Come on people read the rules, we are designers and yes - it takes hours and hours to draw your own design instead stealing some image and tweaking it for 10 minutes!

I didn't see the designs that were withdrawn or that went to logo court! I am sad to learn that so many designers had their account disabled for our contest. I am surprised they would take the risk? I think the hardest workers should be rewarded and they will be.

Lets just keep in mind that when silk screening a design with a lot of gradients like most of them on here it will not look that great, it looks fine on the computer but you have to understand they are printed on t-shirts. You lose a lot of the gradient value when washing out the screens to prep for printing. Oh and not to mention you will not achieve the gradients from thread if the logo is digitized for embriodery. Just an FYI to all! And If you are wondering I was a silk screener for 10 yrs so I can back me words mates. G'day

thanks, juicy. we are trying to take that into account but we don't have your experience. we are making a small clothing label to start but also want to put the design on a website and letterhead/biz cards. perhaps you can reply privately to advise which logo designs would make the best all-around choice considering our usage.

some designs we like for the logo. others, we like for shirts. we may want to acquire several designs in time.

thanks,
L and Y

We're actually living in 2009 year (and we're near it's end) so I think we can put everything on T-Shirt considering the development of technology and etc...
And after all every logo can be reworked in a way so it's easier to be incorporated on different media. One version of logo for web, one more simple for T-shirts. After all most are grayscale/black&white logos .... it's almost the most simple design in the world.

I agree with Dolphin Press with the above statement.
Any design can be reworked to accommodate specific needs.
