Hello,

I read your update to the brief, and that story was the inspiration for my logo idea: #13. I wanted something that would reflect the classic film feeling that you so expertly conveyed, while also being something fitting for honoring vets.

Take a look and let if you want see any revisions, as I will be happy to work with you on this to get it exactly how you want it. Thanks for your consideration.

And here is a close-up of the custom wordmark, which could stand on its own when the entire emblem isn't applicable: #17

I added hints of gold, including in the drop of oil coming from the "q" (liquid gold!)... #18

Got it. Thanks!

As I mentioned, I will take all of those details into consideration, as I prep the next revision. I should have it posted later today or for sure by first thing tomorrow, depending on how long it takes. (The contest might be in Judging Mode by then, but I can still submit them during the final phase.)

Feel free to leave any other comments, requests, etc. in the mean time.
Talk with you again soon!

Here is a revised design for your review: #43

I dropped in your treble clef "S", as well as some dog tags with musical notes on them. I also changed the bottom font to a more military-stencil feeling font. Let me know what you think. I think this has a nice balance between film/music/military, but feel free to request additional changes if it's not 100% there for you.

Thanks!

Here is another version with a much bigger title treatment, while all still fitting within the circular emblem/coin: #54

Sorry it has been so long to respond, talking with staff not a good consensus on selection. Did you have a clear look at my original logo design? could you take that and put it into the shape of a dog tag, that way it can be made into a Challenge coin also and given the military feel. The Gold color doesn't work, maybe OD green?

Logo Designer
No problem. I know how it is when working with a large group.

Is this your original: http://i49.tinypic.com/jg4goz.png

I just want to clarify before making it... So you want this logo on a dog tag? And then place said dog tag onto a round coin design with a military feel? I can certainly do that. Let me know if that's correct.

You must have pulled that off of my old website. It is close, there is an S for Squeaky with the musical note Treble faded behind it. the dog tag will be the shape, not put into the round coin. The coin can be made into the shape of the Dog tag. Im not sure how to send you an example.

OK. Yeah, that helps clarify it. I will get some new ideas made and post them soon.

I like the silver dog tag and the shape of your oil can with the reel- what I like about the other contestants submission is the reel, oil can with gold droplets. If you could extend a film strip off the reel extending to the L in REEL -try with military stencil font - productions extends from the S to the L

If you could put your creative touch to my suggestions before the choice is made tomorrow. Thank you.

Best of luck

Can you see the other contestants submission ? I like the oil can tipped and dropping oil into the reel. maybe the reel film rolls out to the __S spelling put Squeaky Reel

Here is a revised design: #62

I redrew my film reel to give it more depth and to allow for the gold drops to be oiling the film as it comes off the wheel. I also added a musical bar of notes to reflect that aspect of it.

Let me know what you think.
Thanks!

#63... Gave it better overall visual balance, and made it a little bigger so you can see it better. I think we might have a winner here! Just my opinion, of course.

(I toyed around with the film turning into the "S" and it felt out of place and didn't read as well as this one.)

#65, #66, #67: I made the film reel portion more prominent, while also introducing some red carpet tones back into the design. A win-win revision, I think! I also moved the location of the oil can for the last one, just to see which one you like better.

Once again, we can do revisions during Judging Mode, should you decide you wish to see more after your deadline...

Thanks!

My new personal favorite: #68

I feel like it is the most successful at encompassing everything from the previous versions, while still looking like a great logo/token on its own. Just my preference, of course.

Can you turn the reel upside down so the red film is coming from the bottom and rolling out to the right and lean it just a little right. The oil can needs to be on the left, a little above the level of the reel with the drops (3-4) of "gold" dropping down with the last one hitting the reel. The reel/ oil can will be our signature? Change the font back to #55 or #56 - Need to keep it clean -I am not sure if the musical notes should be there. The S (treble) is too bold, -- maybe make the oil can a little larger and put the musical piece in it? -- Although it is similar to contestant #2 submitted it is the dog tag that sets you apart and is what we want. Is is possible to get the 4 versions today

your working so hard and I appreciate it. My team likes a little bit of all. Just a few more changes-- take the highlight of the leters - darken the left side of the reel - extend the red film making it smaller at the end. The spout of the oil can needs to be a little higher so there is one or two drops in the air before the drop that hits the real. The drops need to be gold no orange tint . Center the word productions under Squeaky Reel. Thanks !

Here is a revised dog tag version: #76, as well as a non-tag version: #77.

I extended the film and had it roll/curve a bit to give more film reel feel to it. I also applied the other changes you mentioned.

I am kind of digging the non-tag version for a main logo, and then the tag could be for your coin. Just my opinion!

So close---the reel should be a little smaller - on the dog tag it is sitting on the words- I don't like the the extension of the reel it needs to flow down and get slimmer

try taking the red color out (not sure if that is best) - what sets you apart from the other two that are similar is the dog tag. If selected you will send both versions and we will decide.

if you can see submission #3 the way the film is there is nice I really didn't like either film extension. Can you turn the reel a little more forward. I like where the oil can tip is and where the drops come down, can you move the can closer without changing can tip and drops?

can you color the can red. place it back on the other side to see how it looks both ways and show on the dog tag.place the drops to the side of the reel - depending on the side of the can - put a gold drop at the end of productions - it was my idea

on 90/91 can you change can back to black and apply the above - change of drop to a two tone GOLD - like entry #3 Also, have drops land slightly right or left of the open hole in the reel -depending on if it's 83/84 or 90/91 slightly-- thanks
