What We Do
Provides training for first line sales managers who use salesforce.com as their customer relationship management (CRM) solution. This logo will be used on a book and website which promotes the book. Our anticipated book title is: "Salesforce Field Guide for Sales Managers: Practicals Tips, Tricks & Techniques to Lead Your Team to the Top with Salesforce CRM"
Industry
Consulting
Color Preferences
Green, Brown, Red, Orange, Blue; Our business is focused around a publication that has an out-door theme, so outdoor or natural colors would be a good fit.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We are writing a business book and will be using a "field guide" format which includes hiking or mountain climbing themes/metaphors. Would consider a character or charters that are hikers, or logos that include hiking tools or references (e.g., compass, backpack, hiking poles, etc.). We are considering illustrations instead of photographs throughout the book, so the logo should be compatible with illustration imagery.

Will need the following formats:
High-res formats for print (include AI and JPG)
Low-res formats for web (JPG, GIF or PNG)
Transparent background preferred for web-version
Would also like a black & white version without color
Themes
Simple
Colorful

#1 and #2 have the right idea in terms of integrating our field guide theme with our corporate/business topic although I'm a little concerned that the necktie may alienate women in the target audience.

All designers: note - please treat "Salesforce" or "SALESFORCE" as one word (no space between Sales and force).
