Great start everyone - thanks for your participation. Now that I see the motto along with logo designs, the motto "more gas less brakes" is not going to work out. We could easily be confused with being in the automotive or racing industry, which were not.

Please submit revisions as you like using the both the motto "Enabling Performance" and without any motto.

Thanks.

I think the new motto is an improvement, although I like the look without it as well. I really don't have other comments right now, hoping for more entries and creative ideas to come.

Sorry for the slow response, I'm on vacation this week with limited Internet access. I'll check in often starting Monday. Thanks for the new entries.

Thanks for the new designs. I like the graphics to the left of the text better than over the text or other positions.

Some other ideas - I don't want to go down a sailing path. Rather either Motorsports or a generic suggestion of speed or performance.

Here's a logo that uses a race track and rumble strip - to busy for me, but you get the idea of using other racing images - http://www.shadowvideoproductions.com/images/RumbleStripLogosmall_3Z27.jpg

Do a Google image search on "motorsport logo" or other racing terms and you'll see some examples. But again it can't look like we're in the actual car or motorsports business, rather it's business performance.

i'm also open to other colors that are masculine, perhaps even try some black and white.

Thanks!

Responding to ArtGraft's question about why motorsport, it's just a personal affinity. I'm open to other designs that get the idea of speed and performance across, but I'd be less likely to go with something that signified cycling as opposed to auto racing, for example, because I have auto racing on the brain. But something generic to speed and performance might work.

Thanks for all the latest new entries and changes. I have a bit of a concern on how some of these may look if printed in black and white. Thoughts on this are welcome.

I would like to see the motto enlarged in #55, 76 & 77 so it's more readable. Other that I have a good selection to make a final decision from (but will still consider any last minute entries)!

Thanks for everyone's participation.

pfreedma,

Please consider ranking the designs rather than eliminating the points we gather are valuable even if we do not win your contest. Also take a moment to review the "Ranking and General Tips" as compiled by one of our designers (Bugy) https://logotournament.com/forum/general_discussion/914

So many good ideas! I've extended the contest because I need more time to carefully assess the entries, and also to provide more feedback to the designers. New and modified concepts are welcome!

I've said a lot about an auto racing theme, which I like. But there's also a fine line where it looks too much like we're in the racing or automotive business, which we aren't. So I think the short-short list will be ones that portray the idea that we're about performance & speed in business execution and gaining results/revenue, but subtle in auto or other racing direct references.

This is rather random and only for the ambitious or those with time on their hands - I'm not sure I'll like the results any better than what's been done so far, which is great. The coordinates shown are for a famous section of race track at Mazda Raceway Leguna Seca in California - 36°35'05.45"N, 121°44'56.35"W - enter in Google Earth or other mapping program with a satellite view, and turn the image around so you are facing West (North is on your right hand). Also here but less useful - http://www.mazdaraceway.com/pages/Track_Map - look for the "Corkscrew." To get an idea, going from left to right (actually it's from South to North) you go up a long hill into a tight left turn, at which time the elevation begins to drop as you make another quick right turn and finally into a sweeping left hand turn at which time you've dropped about 100'. I know it would be especially hard to portray the elevation drops in a 2D logo, but if possible to express that would add a lot of impact and realism. So I'm thinking someone may be able to do something with the lines around the text that (or otherwise in artwork) that reflect this section of track.

Thanks to everyone for all the great ideas, comments and entries. There are so many at this point that I'm having a hard time keeping up, and have many great concepts to choose from. I'll be ending the contest a bit early, probably today around noon (Chicago time).
