We like color...mixing it.... bold ..etc...etc

were not set on the icon having RMS in it..... it would be great if it did but a colorful icon will do.

the logo will be used in a vast marketing campaign. it will be printed on a daily bases.
most of the time in black and white...when choosing colors keep this in mind.
Campaign= 60%viral (web) and 40% Print both full color & B&W

I have been using the not interested column to hold all variations and simple not interested.

i have tried to keep the rankings to only one version on the logo...I'm running a little lean on top 20

what type of advise do you have for organization.
and should i leave the ranking column a little cultured for points reasons our just keep up the ranking and dissemination of logos.

most of the designers are great at what they do and it is hard to add enough insight to make it pop.
I've just been trying to rank them and thank them for their entries.

need to diversify my entries yet everyone seems to see what the top ten are and knocks them off the same styles,
any advise?

the is going to be a national corporation and the logo will need to express that.

It seems as all designers are using the same text lay out "company name" great minds think alike ( maybe there all correct)

we are not married to a design yet.
we need to diversify the remaining entries or revisions.
feel free to go out on a limb with a concept.

almost every new entry that went with their own style place in the top 10.

Good morning (morning for us anyways!)
I think in general we want to stay away from using "RMS" for the graphical element, e.g., 126, 277, etc
Our current RMS might not be our only product. Under the name RMSimple we can market anything, but just the letters RMS narrows us down, sorry, our fault.

How to Rank and Thank Designers: When it comes time for final rankings, designers appreciate when you choose the top three CONCEPTS (as opposed to variations of the same design) for the gold, silver and bronze awards. If you want to rank two different concepts by the same designer in the top three, that's fine.
Also, rank as many entries as possible, because designers get points added to their overall site standing for each blue ribbon they get.

This is how points are distributed:

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
<10 place - 1 point

After that, each ranked entry gets one point for the designer. Nobody will be insulted by being ranked last, the points are still good! So if you pull some entries out of the "Not Interested" group and give them a rank, the designer gets some benefit from entering your contest.

Hope that's helpful, lots of contest holders don't realize this and most are glad to know. It's a good way to thank designers who don't win the contest prize, but who worked very hard to offer you lots of options to choose from for a great logo. (original post by SpeedLogo - LT moderator)

Final rankings = During the judging period?
we are going to move all variations of the entries and current not interested entries into the not interested section.
we are going to move all entries except the top 30-40 concepts.

we will then move all entries back to the ranking table. during the final rankings.

This will give all designer a clearer direction to focus the entries and make it easier for us to rank the top 10.

thanks for all your entries. we will work hard to make the point system benefit your hard work.

the point system should be emailed or displayed to all Contest Holder upon entry.
( This would help a lot for both parties )
