What We Do
Provides props (things touched by the actor's hands) for film, tv, and theatre that bridge the gap between props of yesterday and props of tomorrow---it's quite specifically the science of props. We are NOT looking for a logo that looks scientific. . .please don't submit and along this line.
Industry
Entertainment
Color Preferences
We're open, as long as they're forward-thinking and seem scientific. We love Fox Tv's FRINGE logo, but we don't want to copy it because we're in that common industry.

Our Ideas & Additional Information

The client wants something that conveys the old world of props (anything an actor touches in a film: i.e. guns, cups, glasses, cars, papers, chairs, desks, pens, airplanes, microscopes, cocktail shaker, cigarettes---ANYTHING) meeting the new world of props: think FRINGE on fox: computer programs, digital props, science discovery, etc. . . This old world and new world is combining to deliver a props house that can handle both facets of the world, old and new: propologie. The science of props.

Nice first stab. I think the "o" can be just a tad darker don't you think to kinda jump out a bit more---not much though. Nice!

The selebreties are stars, aren't they? :)

Yes. But the logo is catering to the technical staff on a film, not the stars. This company will be a resouce for designers to find the prop they need to fulfill the needs of the script from a technical point of view, NOT a celebrity point of view.

For my own curiosity: Wondering why a clapboard doesn't appeal to you, but a director's chair does?

I'm kind of disappointed in this contest, I thought you would get way more submissions. Has the contest been extended recently? 6 days is a long time on here, I am almost positive you will get more varied submissions on the last day. Good luck!

Sorry you're disappointed with the contest. The client liked the directors chair at first but is leaning more towards a gear/film reel metaphor. Thanks for your entries, I think you do nice work. Client has the last say though I guess. . . you know how it is. Take care and I will rank how I see the contest. ; )

Oh, not disappointed at all, I never expected to win this one. I was more disappointed for you I meant. I thought this contest looked very interesting and would get lots more unique submissions than it has at this point.

I think collier has done a fantastic job with your logo, if it hasn't been said enough already. Way to go collier.

I think the reason that there are so few submissions is because 16 of the 24 submission ranked are all colliers, well done to collier but I get the impression entering would be a waste of time, a decision has already been made.

Great ranking!....

Nooo, come on, other people worked on it too. Aren't CHs encouraged to award the top three places to the top three designERs, not the top three designs?

here is tip for the ranking system, that will be a positive spin on your contest. no designer should ever contact you to have all there design ranked in the top posts..this is both unethical and not fair to all the other designer who have invested time into your contest.

How are you doing ? hope you are doing great. As this contest is about to come to an end, and you will be choŠ¾sing the best new logo for your company, i just wanted to have your attention to some important point that you might be aware of or might not. I hope i am not miss understood by pointing out this to you and that you understand.

When the contest ends and you have made your mind and desicion about the winner logo, the winner gets the 1st place, but the 2nd and 3rd place and going on forward, 4th, 5th, 6th , etc , each one or slot should be filled with a seperate designer and different concept you found second best, third best to follow etc.

This helps towards us designers ranking and also it is a way from you to show your appreciation to the hard effort and trails put from the beginning by one designer or appreciating a nice design concept put earlier by a designer that led to developing on right direction for others and you getting the best you could at the end.

It feels frasturating for other designers and pointless of giving all the top rankings for same winner designer, while those were just a small variations of the winning design and therefore the other places 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc are not filled with different designs from a different designer.

So i hope you understood my point i was just trying to point out to you here and all the best of luck in chosing your winner logo, there are really good ones out there.

please take a moment to rank your contest in fair and just manner..it will go along way when you decide to start another....simply because more designers will participate if they know a contest will be judged fairly.

Best Regards,
