Color Preferences
I'd like the logo to be able to look good in white & grey, but am open to using many colors.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Logo:
Pomabook.com is a new product that will be in the same product suite as Clockspot.com, so will have a very similar logo style and look/feel. Go to demo.clockspot.com to play around with Clockspot, and go to demo.pomabook.com (password is "12345" for all accounts) to play around with the alpha version of Pomabook.

We're looking for a logo that's simple, elegant, and a unique font of some sort. Facebook logo is a great example - it's just a stylized font:

Icon:
To the left of the logo I want an icon that represents Pomabook. Something that's recognizable on it's own. I'm a big fan of simple, 1 color logos, that can be inverted (shown on white background, or black background). Nike logo, Grooveshark.com logo and Apple are great examples. Other good examples: Twitter.com, Crowdspring.com, Zendesk.com, 37signals.com, uservoice.com. Ideally this icon + logo will be like Facebook or Twitter, where the font is unique, color neutral, invertible, simple, and instantly recognizable.

The final product MUST look good with the Pomabook.com application, and have a similar look and feel to Clockspot.com. Try logging in at demo.pomabook.com using password "12345", and look at the top left corner. This is where your newly designed logo will be placed. Make sure it looks good there!

Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions
