What We Do:
'next director' is a free discussion group within the LinkedIn.com professional networking site. Its purpose is to provide a networking and discussion forum for aspiring and emerging company directors. It will attract professionals who are seeking their first or additional board positions.
Our Industry:
Non-Profit
Formats Accepted
.EPS only
Top Three Things to Communicate through our Logo:
#1 - This site is for professional people who fit the profile of an emerging company director
#2 - The group is tech-savvy and does not fit the old stereotypical PALE, MALE and STALE profile
#3 - The group is here to help you gain your first or additional company board seats and assist you when you obtain them.

Our Target Audience:
The target audience are professionals on the www.LinkedIn.com website who wish to participate in discussions about how to obtain their first or additional company board seat. These people will have probably achieved a reasonable level of success in their professional life and are aspiring to take the first step as a company director. Some will already be directors of their own company and are seeking peers. Others will be practicing directors who are looking to contribute back into the director community by sharing their knowledge, expertise and experiences.
The majority of company directors are male, over 45 (often older) and have high nett worth. This is NOT my target audience.
I am targetting YOUNGER, tech-savvy, educated, broad-minded, innovative aspiring directors and particularly aiming to make company directorship more attractive and attainable by women.
Occupation range is very wide, but professionals who understand business, corporate governance, stakeholder management, financial, legal and regulatory obligations of company directors would be a good start.
Many first-time directors do so on a volunteer basis for a Not-For-Profit organisation.
Education is usually tertiary qualified with a business degree, but not mandatory.

Color Preferences:
I do not wish to dictate colors to the designers, however I will tell you that nearly everyone who operates in this space uses black and blue - which is a perfect reason to stay right away from those colours.
