Our Target Audience:
Based on my “2009 Reader Survey,” my typical reader is a male between the ages of 31–50. He has at least a college degree and household income of $70,000 or more. He lives in the U.S., most likely in those states where evangelical Christians are a higher percentage of the population. He is an active Christian, attending church at least once a week, and his faith is very important to him.
My typical reader is extremely committed to personal growth and is a heavy book reader. He reads most of my blog posts and is especially interested in those related to the topic of leadership—probably because he serves in a leadership capacity in his local church. He also avails himself of other forms of learning, such as conferences and webinars, and intends to pursue additional formal education.
My typical reader is very active in social media, including Facebook and Twitter. This same reader demonstrates a need for self-expression, as evidenced by the fact that he has a blog and posts to it at least once a week. He also has a book idea that he hopes to write and get published.

Please note that the above brands are in no way, shape, or form associated with LogoTournament. They are cited as examples under Fair Use for the enrichment of the general public's knowledge of the graphic arts.
Color Preferences:
I want a logo to go to the immediate left of my name as it now appears on my blog at michaelhyatt.com. I am not wishing to change that part of my branding. I simply want to add a squarish mark to the left of this that can stand alone when I don't have room for an entire horizontal logo.
As a result, I would like to stick with the deep blue (#000033) gray, and white color scheme of my blog.
