Many of the designs submitted so far are really nice, but when i envision, i see our logo to have more vividness in colors and a bit more creative, as the technology that we employ is state of art and cutting edge. Hope this helps and another thing, please leave comments/explanations as to why you came up with that particular logo and why you think it works for us.

Hello artslover,

Please take a moment to read this "Ranking and General Tips" as complied by one of our designers (Bugy) https://logotournament.com/forum/general_discussion/914

Thank you Scott for that very informative read. i will be rearranging my selection soon.

Here is to everyone,

Please see the past submitted logos, and try not to submit the ones that are similar.
The logo should be able to stand out on its own (without the name) what i mean is that there should be a logo and then the name so if we decide to go into lets say TV manufacturing, we can stick our logo on it and it will be sufficient enough.

People PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS WITH EACH SUBMISSION do not blame me if i do not rate you or you do not get selected even though you submitted a similar design.

One other thing, We would like our logo with emphasis on logo rather than the name of the company, if the logo does not have the name in the design that would be fine too, this way logo can stand on its own.

i would also like to add that we would prefer to stay away from the alphabets as part of the logo or used as a logo itself.

Please do not submit designs that someone has already submitted. little variations will not make you unique.
Another thing, I WILL NOT SELECT YOUR DESIGN IF THERE ARE NO EXPLANATIONS GIVEN ALONG WITH YOUR DESIGN, EVEN IF YOUR DESIGN IS THE BEST.

Respectfully arstlover, I think you might do yourself an injustice by excluding any design you considered "the best", as you say, because there was no accompanying write-up. The old adage "a picture can speak a thousand words" is one that many designers live by. Also, to require an explanation of someone who does not speak english puts that person at a significant disadvantage and many of ours designers do not have english or much of it. Even some who speak english can do so more eloquently and persuasively than others. I hope you won't be offended by these considerations...:)

True, i may be doing my self the injustice by excluding those designs that maybe good, i will reconsider that position. But to answer to your statement that some of the designers do not speak English, to this i will say, If they can not then how did they even read what i am looking for? and secondly i am not looking for well written essay or for them to be persuasive about their work but rather just to know what their thought process was when they got to that logo to give you an example, when "charcoal" submitted his logo design just by looking at it i would not have selected it to be #1 but what he said and i quote " Infinite possibilities can be drawn from this design. It can be animated so this is like a freeze-frame out of the animation.
Images can be placed in the pixels.
It could be rotating - for a flash website the different pixels could be used as rollover elements to go to different areas of the site and different categories or parts of the company."
That makes a true logo,
i hope i did not offend anyone by excluding them. but i will reconsider my previous stand.

For consideration:

In the case when printing with one single color tint it could be about economy or any other reason that determs this circumstance and obligates using only one color probably is important taking this in consideration sometimes logo designs might have problems with this issue they look pretty good at full color but when are used in grayscale or only black and white they might change not always for the good, maybe you have already planned using always the logo with too many colors for reproduction in any media, but sometimes economy is mandatory, i hope you can find this comment with interest before considering your final choice.

Thanks artslover. And Revotype makes an important point, not just for economy but for portability to other media (hense my accompanying wordmark;))

Is perfectly correct and also it should be a graphic designer's responsability to give a complete written justification about the work is offering as the most posible and close concept that may reach what the client is trying to comunicate and wants to be recognized with and represented by any image, in this case an enterprise named PIXEL MEDIA GROUP has requested not only the logo but a clear explanation that may renforce the existence or how the image in question has been revealed to work as the representation of their company, we have to be completely profesionals and try to give our best, english is not my first language but if i want to win i have to try harder to learn to expres my ideas the best way possible, before the contest ends i will upload as best as i can describe how PIXEL MEDIA GROUP relates with the image i am offering, thanks and also another old adage "the client is always right" and i should add we as designers must try always to guide the client the best way possible to prevent any kind of difficulty in the future.

Well to answer question that some of you have asked, why we opened up the contest again?, is that we have few designs that work one way and a few designs that work a few ways, our current #1 is very simple but can only be used in a limited number of ways. but on the other hand #2 can be used in a flash on our site, on print etc etc.
So we decided to open it up again to see if anyone else can come up with something that can be universal and with strong font to support it, if not then we will go with one of our short listed design and refine it to our needs.

Hope i have answered your questions, if you have more, please feel free to ask.

Probably what you need is a profesional in these subjects: 3D ANIMATOR, WEB DESIGNER OR VIDEO BROADCASTING EDITOR i don't know... someone that can get the best from the logos already uploaded if that person has what it takes you will have your logo, in my particular case i thought it was better to design one single icon independent strong that can work alone and free from the name's brand that way it has more posibilities than if you get a condensed logo everything in one single image.

Creativty for all media applications is now what you really need.

you want heavy font..so you've changed you brief..because you clearly stated ICON is most important...now the name is most important??? please clarify
14 years ago

Logo Designer
well, now they want a wordmark in addition to an icon, is my guess...

What we are looking for is a logo that can be used on print and in flash as an animation, but we also want the name to be strong as well to support a great logo not to be lost and forgotten. To answer Speedlogo's question, the current #1 and #2 are strong logos, the name bit on #2 was not as strong as so we asked charcoal to make some revisions and he has done them now. a good balance between a logo and the font used in the name has to be there in order to tie it all together.

i open to all sorts of opinions and take them with open heart so fee free to criticize me.

To move on i think some ranking should be fine to follow you with the new entries you have, in my personal opinion that's what needs to be done to get closer to your concept, or at least know what you really like now, thanks.
