Local KickLogo Design Contest

Hello everyone. Thank you for the submissions so far. I like parts of each and will give some detailed feedback shortly for each once I talk to my counterpart a bit and we can consolidate the feedback.

Some overall feedback for everyone. Focus on simple and clean. We like KICK to stand out more than LOCAL whether it be font, case, color, etc... A clever icon either over or next to the company name with tagline included is what we are finding ourselves looking for. We like blue and green, but don't limit yourself there since we can't say that any of the color combo's really stand out just yet.

Some more overall feedback. I definitely like some of the newer entries and will give individual feedback. I did a quick ranking of the top 4. The rest I'll do later today.

I would like some deeper bolder colors and contrast to jump out a bit more in general.

To be more specific on colors, I'd like to see some deep reds and oranges tried.

The foot and boot print are great, really like those. For some other and perhaps different thoughts we also like to think of customers that choose us as 'being different' and 'wanting to stand out from the crowd', etc... Perhaps working those ideas into an image/icon would work.

I am going to re-rank and clean these up a good bit today. I know that I had asked to see the KICK angled up and to the right but now that I see it, it just didn't work for me.

I'd like to see some submissions over a black background as well please to see if those don't jump at me a bit more.

I had a chance to discuss the rankings with my associate, so the ranking order shifted some today. I will give some more detailed individual feedback later. In general, the current top 3 really stand out so far and variations on those 3. Outside of that, there is potential and we hope to see some updates based on our original feedback.

We really like how the logos on black are turning out.

All, I've tried to focus on design over color up until this point. Although the look and feel of the below template will change for our new site, the general blue color scheme will be used.

I really hate doing this, but I am going to extend the contest 2 days. The reason why is because my partner and one of the key decision makers for this project hasn't been able to review any of the new submissions and resubmits over the last 12 hours and will not be able to do so until later tonight.
