Please note that we're not looking for the organization's logo. We're looking for a logo for our vision/ series of programs with a theme of "Jakarta Service City"

Welcome Logo-team of KADIN DKI. As long as I know, you are the first Indonesian logo buyer here.. CMIIW. I hope can find any proper idea for you :) Your intensive direction and comment would worthy for designers here to find awful idea. Please use OTHER icon of Jakarta other than the National Monument (Monas).

2nd Indonesian client after Mosaic Asia Group =)

Please explore other Jakarta icon besides MONAS. Or even create one that represents a NEW and BETTER Jakarta, something that represent the Jakarta Service City spirits (please read the contest brief carefully).

Play around with color people. Don't be fixated with Orange only. Break away from other people's designs. There's no design here yet that come close to what we're looking for. Be creative and surprise us. Good luck.

The exploration of the Tugu Selamat Datang image would also be something interesting.

Please do not wait until the last days to send in your entries. It's very unlikely that designs will be right the first time, so please plan for revisions on original idea and plan for the time to do that.

Just an idea: a play on silhouettes of some of Jakarta's main landmarks (buildings, monuments, etc.) could also be interesting instead of just having SINGLE picture of the MONAS or the Tugu Selamat Datang. For example please take a look at a London's logo with such idea:

Instead of using the Tugu Selamat Datang image from the front view I think it might be better to use it from a different angle such as seen in this:

It gave a 'New Feel' to an old and tiring image of Jakarta, which is what this Jakarta Service City is all about: to change the stakeholder's mindset about Jakarta and transform it into a world-class service city.

We are inviting Non-Indonesian designers as well. This is a fair and open competition. The best will win.

Looks like most designers are fixated with the image of the logo instead of the Fonts. I think designers should also experiment with fonts to come up with a good design and put less emphasize on the image. Let's see entries with this idea.

The winner of this logo will get much publicity because it will be a high profile chain of events both city-wide and nationally. This is your chance to have a claim for something significant. So, hurry send in your entries.

I'd love (i'll try) to participate but... don't know your country, your city nor your culture... It'll be difficult to design such a particular (but very interresting) logo...

This is NOT a contest for Indonesians only. We've stated way up there since the beginning of the contest that we're encouraging designers from all over the world to send in your entries, but apparently not many non-Indonesians are confident enough to send in entries. Too bad.

Agreed to satto, we are unfamiliar with your country nor culture. even tough CH welcome global designer, it's kinda of disadvantage to global designer.
Anyway, there are so many good logo here, I will not mention the number :), but I think CH is willing to have a BANNER instead of LOGO. rofl.

It is a great contest although the non-Indonesian designers are mostly absent from it.

I would argue that with the internet and its www there's nothing that anyone wanting to learn about other countries, cities, or cultures can't do. Any business's logo whether a financial service in US, a consumer product in Japan, etc has to be researched for its context, culture, etc. The same here with the Jakarta Service City logo. It will require research and effort to participate in any contest.

I can assure you that i (and for sure the few non indonesian designers who participated) did a real research on your city. This contest is a very beautiful and motivating one but as i see the superb "indonesian" logos, based on local cultural elements, i don't think i could compete on that field. If i had breathe the Jakarta air, maybe yes! So, good choice, good luck.
