I did not especially want to feature the company name as much as the stylized dog. Similar to:

The pipe is not necessary..we do not want to encourage children to smoke. Try to say away from red and insects. Red is "danger" and insects are "yucky" to viewers.

Dimi, this is much closer to what I envisioned. I would like to punch up the text portion to make it stand out. The font is good...perhaps color? I do not want the text to be difficult to read or detract from the graphic.

#11 is strong if the dog circle from #3, same size, is used and the text box from #13, same size, is used with a gradual fade between colors.

I'm had in mind a nonbreed dog graphic of a dog wearing a Sherlock Holmes hat and holding a magnifying glass. Our dog,s actual name is Sherlock and he inspects facilities for bed bugs. I do not want to play "cutesy" or funny with the logo, but I want it unique with character, attention grabbing and memorable to the viewer. I guess it's half way or so between playful and serious. The graphic could be a bit playful with the company name professional and serious. I'm not married to this and will consider other ideas but they must fit my criteria. Most of the entrants are merely a play on the name, color, font, etc. and, as such, are not all that memorable. Hope this helps.

I apologize if I gave that impression. I fully appreciate your work and what you have done. I only indicated to you what changes that we thought necessary to achieve what we envisioned. Your work and one other are in final consideration and it will be difficult to choose between the two. Personally, I prefer your work but it will be a group decision as to which best fits our goals.
