Color Preferences
Calming colors - spirituality, tranquility. We're open to ideas - purples? Blues? These therapies help with healing, too. Clean/white.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The logo is for "Integrative Medicine at Day Kimball Healthcare" - the words "Integrative Medicine" should be more pronounced. We're currently revising our Day Kimball Healthcare logo and so at this time do not have a style to provide for that. It's a strong and trusted brand. Integrative Medicine should be soft. We would like an image with the words - we're recommending an open LOTUS FLOWER. The lotus blossom flower is so symbolic of beauty, spirituality, life. This logo should convey life and being alive. (We definitely do NOT want a tree or tree of life.) Please note that our website is under redesign so you won't see current branding throughout our site.

Discussion

Hello Melisari. Nice designs. We like the darker colors - can you make them less transparent? We're afraid this will look faded in some reproductions. We like the green lotus flower better in design #2 - in fact maybe it would be better to see it darker and to be the same color as you have "Integrative Medicine." The "at Day Kimball Healthcare" may then look better black rather than gray. This would make the logo 2 color and I think would be very nice. We love the font you chose. Nice job!

There are several of us at the office making recommendations - sorry for the delay we are trying to come to agreement.

We really like a number of designs and are having a hard time narrowing right now. To comment, #7 & #9 could the gray petals be more symetrical? There is a missing gray leaf on the right and the yellow pistals could perhaps be more defined, even three would be nice. We worry this design might not copy well in a black and white ad.

#18 "at Day Kimball Healthcare" should be larger.

#6 we really like the ripples because it depicts movement - someone wondered what the design would look like if the icon was to the left of the words? And #6 is there a way to show more definition in the lotus flower? We really like how bold this one is.

#14 is really neat. Can the bottom line be darker?

Thanks everyone! Sorry we are all over the place right now - you are all doing nice work it will be hard to choose.

Thanks again everyone - these are great. We are narrowing down - not sure if we'll need to extend the time to accomodate these requests below.

#71 #86 #61 #85 - Can you try using green also somehow? With the blue and purple is fine. Also need the bottom line "at Day Kimball Healthcare" darker in all. With #61 we like the oval around the words but the flower isn't right - we don't think the circle behind the flowers work either. Any suggestions?

#65 Need the "at Day Kimball Healthcare" words larger and darker. Ok to use another color. Don't need shading all around logo.

Thanks again.

Dear Ch

How to Rank and Thank Designers: When it comes time for final rankings, designers appreciate when you choose the top three CONCEPTS (as opposed to variations of the same design) for the gold, silver and bronze awards. If you want to rank two different concepts by the same designer in the top three, that's fine.
Also, rank as many entries as possible, because designers get points added to their overall site standing for each blue ribbon they get.

This is how points are distributed:

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points

After that, each ranked entry gets one point for the designer. Nobody will be insulted by being ranked last, the points are still good! So if you pull some entries out of the "Not Interested" group and give them a rank, the designer gets some benefit from entering your contest.

Hope that's helpful, lots of contest holders don't realize this and most are glad to know. It's a good way to thank designers who don't win the contest prize, but who worked very hard to offer you lots of options to choose from for a great logo.

Thanks for understanding

Thanks for waiting. There are several of us deciding on the top 10 and we had a person on vacation. We are sorry to see some of our favorites withdrawn but we're sure to pick a winner within a day. Sorry for the delay.
